They claimed to have information about my involvement in a car crash, which I promptly dismissed as impossible since I don’t even own a car. Then they pressed on, asking if perhaps anyone else in my household had been in some kind of accident. I reiterated that there's not a single driver in my home. Before I could say another word, they just cut the line. Quite the odd experience, really!

I asked them to repeat everything from the start and left the phone on answerphone to record it. Then I contacted the police and my car insurance provider to let them know. I haven’t had any accidents for more than six years, so watch out for this kind of scam!

Got a call from a Glasgow number claiming there was an accident I was involved in but it wasn’t my fault. I told them they must have the wrong person since I’ve never had an accident. They kept going on, saying, “if you haven’t had an accident, why did you tell your insurance?” which made no sense as I don’t even drive! The bloke was super rude. Number’s 50 something, now blocked. Total waste of my time.

Isn't it amusing? I was just tuning into BBC Essex, and they were discussing scams when, lo and behold, I received a call from this number asking if I’d been involved in a car accident. Naturally, I decided to play along and told them I'd been rear-ended, resulting in whiplash and a broken arm. The chap on the other end made a few remarks before abruptly ending the call! After that, I did a quick search for the number, blocked it on my phone, and promptly deleted it. Well, that’s another cheeky scammer dealt with!

Typical car insurance con artists! I spun them a tale about having an accident with a minibus brimming with nuns, claiming I was in dire pain. They pressed me for a rundown of my injuries, so I made up some right nonsense! Then, I threw in a twist about the nuns praying for my recovery, saying that through some heavenly miracle, I was magically healed on the way to the hospital. Thus, I wouldn't be seeking any compensation from their lot. Can you believe it? The chap just cut me off mid-story!

I received a rather dubious call purportedly from O2 Assist, inquiring about an alleged accident I’d had within the past two years. They claimed I was due some unclaimed funds. However, when pressed for details, they provided an address where I used to reside, which hasn't been my home for around four or five years. The moment I began to dig deeper into their story, they abruptly ended the call. I attempted to ring them back, but it turns out the number was not configured to accept incoming calls. Quite suspicious if you ask me.
