Today I got a call from 01283755006 saying they were from Openreach. Since I was waiting for a call from them, I let it go. They told me my router showed some issues, which is true. Still, I asked them to confirm my internet provider for security reasons. After a pause, they said Virgin Media. I told them that was incorrect and told them I was ending the call. When they pressed me for my actual provider, I refused to say. They then called me a liar, insisting I was with Virgin Media, and just ended the call abruptly.

I suspect it’s linked to the fact that I completed a form regarding a SIM card promotion I saw on an Instagram ad. They mentioned they'd get in touch with me.
