Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Domestic & General, said my insurance had been renewed automatically and they needed my card info. I've used them before but now have a different provider. I told him no a few times but he just kept pushing. Eventually, I just ended the call. Looked up the number afterwards and turns out it was a scam.

Picked up the phone and there was a bit of a pause, then I could hear a lot of noise like it was coming from a call centre. The bloke started talking about my Domestic & General policy but I told him I didn't have any policy with them. Then the line just cut off suddenly.

I picked up when this number rang, said hello a couple times but got nothing back, just silence. Then I could hear a busy call centre noise, and a young bloke asking for my partner using their last name a few times. I stayed quiet since I was looking up the number online. Eventually, he just ended the call. Proper fed up with these annoying call centre calls.

Received another nuisance call purporting to be from a company offering insurance for household appliances. This is the second time in just two days they've tried to contact me. When I informed the chap that I wasn’t insured with them, he claimed he had the necessary documentation. I suggested he send me the paperwork, and I’d consider my options. Just yesterday, a different caller insisted my boiler was covered under their plan, yet today’s caller insisted it was my oven and fridge. It’s all utter nonsense, if you ask me!

This bloke called saying he was from Domestic and General, telling me my cover was due for renewal. I told him I didn’t have a policy, all my appliances were brand new. I’d just moved house and asked how he even had my number. He claimed it was from my previous policy but swore any old policy would be cancelled along with any renewal fees. Then he just hung up, saying have a nice day. Didn’t want to explain how he got hold of my private number, which was a bit dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call from 01273655023 around 6pm on Saturday 10th July 2020, some bloke claiming my Hotpoint washing machine warranty was about to run out. I told him I don’t even own a Hotpoint, but he kept insisting I’d had it for 10 years and that we’d last talked in July 2019. He didn’t take no for an answer and kept pushing, so I just ended the call.

Got a weird call from someone saying it was about renewing my washing machine insurance. They knew my address and kept telling me I had to renew the policy. They mentioned I pay £120 a year (which I don’t remember signing up for at all). Then they offered me a deal - £195 for two years. When I told them I wanted to cancel, they just cut the call straight away. Felt really dodgy.

Got a call from this number just now. Didn’t answer since I hadn’t a clue who it was. They ended the call after about six rings, didn’t even let it go to voicemail. After reading through the comments, looks like it’s now showing up as a blocked number.

Tried calling back on the “lucky” numbers… maybe its Amazon, or the tax office, could be Sky, Virgin, O2 with some subscription, or even the bank.. always something like expired, issues and whatnot.. best just to leave them be.

Got a call earlier from 01273655023. They were asking for my son’s name, but he hasn’t lived at my place for like 15 years! The woman claimed she was calling from General Appliance insurance and said the service cover was about to expire. I almost fell for it, but when she started asking for my son, I knew something was off. Definitely a dodgy call, be warned!
