Just like a few others mentioned, I got a call about 'renewing appliance insurance' even though I’ve never signed up for that kind of cover. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam to me.

Had a call from them yesterday morning about renewing my appliance cover. I asked for their email so I could check if I’d actually signed up with them before, but all the bloke seemed to have was my address and name. If they really had done business with me, surely they’d know my email too? I never use it anymore cause of these scammy people. They really should take a look at some of these reviews, what a clueless bunch!

Got a call about "renewing the warranty on my household appliances" - 100% a con, no doubt about it!

The person on the other end never gave their name or hit the # button, so Callguardian went ahead and blocked the call.

Cheeky scammers again, just like I mentioned in my message on 22/9. My mate can’t believe how I chat back to those p#### types and joke about ‘lining them up and firing’. Gotta say, I’m right there with him on that feeling!

I've never lived in Brighton but keep getting calls from a Brighton number, anyone else getting this?

This number, 0127365r019, rang me up the other day and actually knew my name and where I live, saying something about my appliance insurance needing renewal. I told them I had no insurance at all and that my appliances are pretty old anyway. When I said I don't deal with unexpected calls, and just as I was about to say they sounded like a scam, the woman hung up on me. I've blocked the number now so they can’t bother me again.

This person sounds like a total con artist - they rang me saying my Home Appliance Insurance had lapsed and that my TV, fridge, and washing machine were no longer protected, which is nonsense because I’ve never had any such insurance. When I asked them which brands my appliances were, they just said only the engineers knew. I told them if this was a legit renewal, the policy should clearly state what’s covered. That’s when they started shouting, talking over me, telling me to shut up and pay attention. Really aggressive and rude, 100% a scammer.

This code keeps popping up with scam calls and they never leave a message. Just another one to add to my block list.

This was obviously a scam, claiming I had some sort of appliance insurance I never even signed up for. Plus, they didn’t even have my correct address, which made it pretty obvious right away. Can’t believe people actually fall for this stuff.

I got a call from a lady claiming my appliance warranty was about to run out. Sounded dodgy so I dumped the call straight away and have blocked the number since. Total scam, be careful!

Got a call from this number claiming to be about domestic appliances. They told me my TV was covered by insurance, which is not true at all. Then they tried to sell me three years’ insurance for the cost of one year. When they asked for my bank info, I said no and the woman just ended the call right away. Definitely a scam, stay clear!

I usually get a call about once every three weeks from the exact same folks. Definitely a scam. Really hope they get caught and dealt with soon.

I got a call and they asked if I was Mr G… which is completely wrong since that’s my old married name and he’s never even lived here! Bit rude as I’m clearly a Mrs. Told them they should pay attention to who’s picking up the phone. Didn’t even wait for me to say anything else, just slammed the phone down! So rude, not sure how they still have a job. Cheers for the other comments, I’ve blocked the number now.

I told them it was the sixth time they'd rang me in a few days about renewing a warranty for kitchen stuff I don't even have, let alone the brand they mentioned. The woman snapped back, claiming the earlier calls were from a different firm, not "Domestic Appliances Warranty" like this one. When I mentioned it felt like a cold call, she threatened to get in touch with my bank and then just cut me off. Proper rude response.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Homeserve, telling me my insurance was about to expire. They tried to sell me a discount if I renewed right there on the phone. I rang Homeserve myself and they said it wasn’t them at all. My mum’s 82 but sharp as a tack, she said she’d think it over and asked him to ring back later. Surprisingly, he called back not once, but twice!

Beware of these washing machine repair "insurance" cons. There's some absolute scumbag out there targeting old folks just to rip them off. Proper dodgy behaviour, preying on vulnerable people like that.

So my other half picked up the phone while I was messing about in the kitchen trying to fix some weird blinking error on our washing machine. Then who calls? Someone checking up on how the washer is doing! Not like they read my mind or anything, but it just goes to show random things happen and we should keep our guard up.

Got a call about my washing machine saying the warranty had expired. Felt a bit off, so I asked him to confirm my postcode, which he did. Then he mentioned I’d be getting some new documents within 7 to 10 days. The company name was Premium Protect. I told him I wasn’t interested and managed to end the call.

Got a call from someone called Mary who said she wanted to talk about my washing machine’s warranty. I just asked what the call was for and then she hung up on me. My washing machine’s been going strong for 16 years, so I’m pretty sure that warranty expired ages ago!

I got a call trying to sell me a renewal for my home appliance insurance, said it was going to cost me £400. She also claimed my current policy had already run out and that I'd been paying £28 every month till now! Sounded a bit off. I ended up chatting with her for ages, throwing all kinds of silly questions her way, and she kept making stuff up!

Had loads of annoying calls from this number, kept wasting my time. The line was terrible, kept cutting out so couldn’t understand half of what they said - something about insurance but obviously a scam. I never dialled them and have zero interest, so I just blocked the number straight away. The call came through on my landline in SE England, which is on the TPS, so not sure why they’re bothering.

Somebody called and actually knew our name, claiming the warranty on our washing machine was nearly up. Luckily, my missus was onto it and said there’s no way that’s right since our washer's not even a year old yet. She told them to ring back another time. I figured I’d look up the number here just to be safe, especially since our machine actually has a five-year warranty.

Got a call again about some warranty on my washing machine that’s supposedly expired. I kept the bloke talking a bit, asking him to give me the model number - all he knew was it was from Hotpoint or something like that. I got pretty irritated and told him off for not having a clue, said I wasn’t interested at all. Seemed like it annoyed him a bit, but he did say sorry for bothering me. I’ve blocked the number now, though I’m almost certain they’ll ring back from another fake one soon enough.
