At about 10:10 this morning, 01273655018 called me just as I was getting ready to leave to see a mate. I dashed downstairs thinking it might be them, but when I saw it wasn’t a number I recognised, I didn’t pick up. I usually ignore unknown calls - if it’s important, they’ll leave a message or send a text. It’s really annoying when these time-wasters interrupt your day! I’ve got some neurological problems, so running up and down stairs because of random calls is the last thing I need. Plus, I’m not one of those people who’s glued to their phone all the time.

Got a call from a woman saying she was from some Domestic Appliances company. She had no clue what appliances I actually own or their brands but tried to sell me insurance on a microwave I don’t even possess! She claimed I could get 3 years cover for the cost of 2 and then passed me over to the payments team. I played along, saying I was unsure, to which he responded, “You ought to know, since you live there.” He introduced himself as my policy advisor and mentioned that his "colleagues" might have reached out before. We entangled ourselves in a conversation about a non-existent policy that he claimed was on hold, insisting that I either renew or cancel it. I firmly told him I wouldn’t be doing either and suggested he could go ahead and cancel it if he liked, but I wasn’t inclined to take action. The dialogue ended on a rather courteous note before he hung up. Since I didn’t pick up or anything, I’m clueless why they called, but from what others have said, it sounds like it was one of those scam calls.

I got a call from 01273655018, a woman named Mary was on the line about some washing machine insurance renewal. When I asked her to name the machine they supposedly covered, she had no idea. Total scammer, be careful!

I just got a call where someone asked for me and started talking about a washing machine warranty. I didn't bother and just ended the call right away.
