They said they’d received my info from some UK insurance company. When I mentioned GDPR and told them they shouldn’t be sharing my data, he said he knew GDPR well and it was fine because they only had my name and phone number, no other info. I told him even that counts under GDPR since I never agreed to share my details. Eventually, he just got fed up and ended the call.

I keep receiving persistent calls from this number, and despite my efforts to block them, they cleverly alter a digit to bypass restrictions each time. They’re always trying to pitch insurance for my electrical appliances, claiming my warranty is on the verge of expiration and that it’s cheaper to renew this year. The funny thing is, I don’t even have a policy with them; I'm already sorted with Domestic and General. D & G have reassured me previously that they wouldn’t be chasing me for renewals and instead would send a formal notice when it's time, complete with the revised monthly fees. I have the option to renew if I wish, but if not, a quick call to them will sort the cancellation.
