At about midday on Saturday 7th March, I got a call but chose not to pick up. So, I have no idea why they were ringing - pretty sure it was one of those annoying calls though. I'm based in Widnes, Cheshire, around the Warrington area, postcode WA8.

I got a call today about my washing machine policy, said it was up for renewal and offered a discount if I paid the whole year right away. I told them no thanks, that’s not how I usually pay my policy, so just keep it the same. Bit worrying they already had my name and address and even knew the year I bought the machine.

Got a call on my home phone from an unknown number. Didn’t pick up, just let it ring out and go to voicemail. No message was left. After seeing what others have said about this number, I’m actually relieved I didn’t answer!

Got a call from Premier again, trying to sell me a discount on insurance for my washing machine that’s practically brand new and still covered by both the manufacturer and John Lewis warranties. I just humoured them for a bit before letting them know I wasn’t interested.

We’d already blocked a bunch of numbers from this company, but today they rang from a different one. That new number’s blocked now as well.

Got a call from this number telling me the warranty on my old washing machine was up. Thing is, I moved out of that place about 4 years ago, so I kinda knew it was a bit dodgy. Asked the bloke for the service department’s contact since my machine was acting up, and he gave me a number that wasn’t even a proper UK number. Seems like these scams never end, why do they bother?

Like a lot of these others, got a call out of the blue about some supposed warranty that doesn’t even exist.

Wasn’t living at that address for over a decade and got a call about some fridge and freezer warranty. Totally smells like a scam to me!

Theres this really annoying high pitched noise that totally stops me from being able to hear the answering machine.

I got a call from some bloke called Harry about washing machine insurance being "due" or something. Pretty clear scam to me since the washing machine was actually my late parents' and they've been gone for years. I told him straight up there was no way I had any such agreement, and he sounded shocked before he just hung up.

Typical con - they're attempting to peddle warranty cover for a washing machine.

I got a call from a woman speaking with a thick accent and a lot of noise from what sounded like a kids’ birthday in the background. She said she was from Premier’s Warranties team and asked if my washing machine was still working fine. It didn’t feel legit, but she did know my name which was a bit unsettling. When I said nicely that I doubted the call was real, she got a bit defensive and demanded to know why I thought that. After reading some other reviews, I kinda wish I’d kept her on the line and messed about a bit instead of just ending the call.

I actually kind of enjoy these scam calls, mostly because I drag the convo out and mess with their time. This time though, I called them out straight away saying I knew it was nonsense. They got all worked up and threatened to report me for “threatening an employee”! Absolutely hilarious! I ended the call, and sure enough, they phoned back less than half a minute later. I just ignored it then, letting them waste even more of their precious time.

Got a call from a guy speaking with a weird accent saying my washing machine’s 5 year warranty had expired and I needed to renew it. He obviously had my name and address down, but when I asked about the model, he said it was some 7 year old Beko - which isn’t right at all, plus the warranty stuff he mentioned was way off, definitely shorter than 5 years. Felt fishy to me.

I just got a call from someone saying my washing machine's warranty was up for renewal - £85 for one year or £195 for three. I pretended to be interested but didn’t give out any info. Oddly, they already had my name, address, and telephone number, and even claimed to have my debit card number, which creeped me out a bit. They said their company was called Premier, but got annoyed when I started asking questions and just hung up. I’m definitely going to watch my bank balance carefully now. Hoping they were just bluffing about that debit card detail.

Got a call from a bloke with a really strong accent claiming that my Premier washing machine warranty had run out. I told him my machine's quite new and I don’t even bother with warranties. Then he said it was about a ‘Bosch’, but I don’t own one of those. Proper irritating and felt like a classic scam trying to trick me into giving my card info. He just hung up on me suddenly, no goodbye or anything.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from the warranty team. I replied, "Sure thing, you lot are just scammers, go ahead then." She just cut the call straight away. These dodgy callers have buzzed me a bunch of times already. They've switched their number from 01273091170 now. Both the old and new numbers look like they're based in Brighton. My guess? They're probably calling from India.

Got a call from this number, and the bloke on the other end had a funny accent and couldn't even say his own name right. He said my washing machine's warranty was about to run out and tried to get me to pay some fees to renew it. I told him my machine was like 12 years old and had no insurance at all. Then he just kept pushing for me to get a cover anyway. I just told him no and ended the call.

Whenever my answerphone picks up, they just hang up straight away. Seems to be the usual from those pesky unwanted callers. At my place, we’ve stopped picking up if it’s an unknown number - which pops up a few times daily. We just let the answerphone handle it, and it really puts off those annoying scam calls wasting our time.

Had the same experience as others here. Got a voicemail that said ‘thanks for calling’, but I never called them in the first place - they were the ones ringing me! Such a pointless call so I just ended up blocking the number. What’s weird is I got an identical call about 4 hours earlier, except that one came from a number with a Chinese code, but the message left was exactly the same.

Some bloke called me about insurance for my fridge freezer but he couldn’t even say my address right. He said he was ringing from London, but the number showed up as Brighton.
