PHONE DEAL SCAM ALERT! Please make sure to report every scam call or message straight to the police fraud database. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and visit the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the ‘report phishing attempt’ section and carefully read all the instructions. Then put in all the details about the scam, including any URLs or web links. You don’t need to register, and they won’t ask for personal info unless you’ve actually lost money. Reporting all these dodgy calls and texts is really the only way the police can keep track of these scams trying to con us.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he was with Carphone Warehouse, rang my mobile from 01252 242025 trying to get me to upgrade my phone. I couldn’t really catch what he was saying, so he said he'd ring me again. Then an Asian woman phoned me from 02045205159 saying she was from Currys / PC World. She insisted they’d sort out a phone contract upgrade for me - then asked which network I use. I didn’t share any info since they called me first. She just ended the call after that.

Just received a phone call from this number claiming to be from Currys, proposing a deal for an iPhone 13 Pro at just £35 a month, including unlimited calls, texts, and data. Quite the tempting offer!

I received a call from a lady claiming to be from O2, attempting to entice me with a 40% discount on my phone contract. I was quite courteous and allowed her to finish her pitch. However, when I kindly declined, mentioning that I wasn't interested in a new contract or phone, there was a rather awkward pause before the line went silent and the call disconnected. I've since blocked the number.

So today I got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, this time it was an Asian lady. They also called me about a week ago, said they were from O2 too, but that was an Asian bloke who was pretty rude. They were talking about upgrading my contract but I’m not even with O2. I’ve just blocked the number now.

Got a call from an asian guy claiming he was with Carphone Warehouse, knew my name and said it was about a new Samsung phone. I said alright then asked him why I didn't want one, then he just hung up. Blocked the number, came from Aldershot, definitely a no from me.

Someone said they were from 02 or CV? Offering to upgrade my contract. I told them straight I knew it was a scam to get into my account, but they kept insisting they had a better deal. In the end, I just hung up on these sneaky fraudsters.

I received a missed call from 01252 242026 earlier, and when I called back, a lady with an Asian accent claimed to be representing Carphone Warehouse. I questioned her authenticity and suspected she was trying to con me. It wouldn't surprise me if they're operating with several numbers to trick unsuspecting folks.

Twice in the past couple of days, I've had calls claiming to be from O2. This latest one was some bloke calling himself Mr Smith trying to get me to buy a new phone through them. The minute he asked for my card info, I just told him to jog on and ended the call. Told whoever phoned me yesterday the same thing - if I’m after a new phone, I’ll pop into a shop, not hand over my bank details to some stranger on the phone. Both calls came from different numbers but they both used the exact same spiel. Blocked them straight away.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be with o2, saying she could knock down my monthly bill. She wanted to know how much I was currently paying. I told her, but if she truly worked for o2, she wouldn’t have been able to give me a sensible answer. I’ve blocked the number now.
