Got a call from an Indian woman three times about renewing my O2 contract. I told her I’m not with O2 at all. She sounded pretty shocked, and I just ended the call. Took me a bit to catch what she was saying because her accent was quite thick. Ended up blocking the number.

I got a call from someone named Jason Paul who said he was from o2 and tried to give me a discount deal. I told him I actually work for o2 and that we don’t offer that sort of deal to customers. Things got weird when I asked where he got my work number from since it’s an o2 business line. He said he just wanted to have ####, which sounded completely off, so I ended the call and passed the info on to my team in the right department.

This was definitely a scam call.

I didn’t pick up because my phone showed it was an unfamiliar landline from Aldershot. Just a heads up, I wouldn’t recommend blocking all unknown calls - loads of NHS places hide their numbers, so you could miss out on important updates or appointments.
