Had no clue what they were on about except for something about broadband. I told em I wasn’t interested, ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

They claimed to be calling from Three but I’m pretty sure it was a fake.

My missus answered the phone but no one said a word, so she just hung up. Then half an hour later, the same number rang again! This time I let it go to voicemail, and guess what? No message left! Honestly, the TPS needs to do something about these annoying calls.

Got a call from 01252 242019 saying they were from Amazon, but I just ended it straight away coz I didn’t trust it was legit.

Loads of times I’ve got calls from guys with thick Indian accents, always using English names. They claim to be from Virgin Media but never say who they really wanna talk to, and they get pretty rude if you question them.

About half an hour ago, this number rang me, and honestly, I'm relieved I let it go after seeing what others said in the comments!!!

They called but didn’t say anything, decided to block after reading other reviews.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, no one spoke for like 10 seconds, then they just ended the call.

Answered the call but no one spoke, wasn’t waiting on anyone from Aldershot to ring me.

An Indian bloke rang me today at 12.39pm, 06/04/2022. He was quiet at first till I said hello. Then he said he was from Virgin Media and claimed there was an issue with my internet, which there wasn't. I told him I've never had a call from Virgin Media before, and he replied saying he hadn’t asked for any personal info yet. I just ended the call and got in touch with Virgin Media to report it.

My phone rang and I answered, but it sounded like the caller had already hung up because it showed up as a missed call afterwards. Seeing what others said, I decided to block the number.

I answered and there was nothing but quiet, then they just ended the call.

Got a call from this number, Hiya flagged it straight away as a possible scam. Blocked and deleted it without a second thought!

No one spoke when I answered.

Someone claimed to be from Virgin Broadband and tried to say my modem was being hacked by other users. When I challenged what she said, she just told me to shut up and listen. So rude! Definitely a scam call.

Sat there for about 10 seconds with no answer, so I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Just like lots of other people have mentioned, I got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse, trying to sell some mobile phone deals. I told them I wasn’t interested and asked them to stop calling with adverts. I’ve since put my number on the TPS list, though I’m not sure it actually helps much!

I answered and there was nothing but silence at the other end, then they just disconnected.

This number has been calling us repeatedly, yet no one ever says a word. It's quite puzzling!

Some guy with a thick Indian accent said his name was Ben and claimed to be from “Phone Warehouse,” talking about some discount deal. I tried to cut in and ask to be removed from their mailing list, thinking it was a legit call, but he just hung up on me.

I've just come across the number 01252 242019, which hails from Aldershot, England. I wonder if anyone else has insights or information about it?

Got a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, saying someone was trying to get into my broadband router.

Not too sure, the phone didnt actually ring but I got a text saying they had called. Pretty sure its just another scam.

Somebody called saying they were from Virgin and kept going on about when I last went online. I just ended the call straight away. I’ve just lost my husband recently, and I really don’t need these dodgy calls bothering me.

Looks like those calls are coming from some scammers based in India.

No clue since they just refused to say anything.

Spoke with someone from India and found it quite challenging to grasp what they were saying. Not a clue what was happening!

The call had this echo like it was coming from one of those big call centres, then suddenly no one spoke and just ended the call.

A few days back, I received a phone call from this number. I didn’t quite catch the initial chap’s name, but he claimed to be from the 3 mobile network and mentioned a rather enticing one-off offer. He proposed that I upgrade my existing contract to the snazzy iPhone 13 Pro Max with 128GB, along with unlimited data, texts, and calls. To sweeten the deal, he even threw in 1000 international minutes, which I have absolutely no use for! All of this would only set me back £36 a month for two years. Straight away, I realised something wasn’t quite right; I’ve been eyeing that very iPhone, and I know full well you can’t get your hands on a decent second-hand one for less than £800. Curious, I played along with the conversation… As I showed a bit more interest, I could distinctly hear some furtive whispering. The agent then said he would need to transfer me to his senior supervisor. This time, I was all ears. The supervisor introduced himself as “Ahmed,” and assured me he’d be assisting me. When I mentioned that I felt £36 was a bit steep, without hesitation he said, “No worries, ma’am, I can do it for £30 a month.” I was taken aback, I mean, how quickly was that? I asked him, “Really?” to which he confirmed, “Absolutely, ma’am.” Then I came up with a little tactic-I told him I had a recent chat with his head engineer and requested his name. Ahmed fumbled a bit and said, “Well, we handle calls for Carphone Warehouse on behalf of 3.” I simply said, “You know, this is starting to smell a bit off, Ahmed,” and he insisted in a much quieter tone, “No, ma’am, it’s legitimate.” Out of curiosity, I asked if he was Muslim, to which he replied affirmatively. I followed up with, “Since it’s Ramadan, are you fasting?” He agreed, prompting me to ask, “Ahmed, why would you engage in such dubious activities?” To which he reiterated, “This is not a scam, ma’am.” I requested his full name, and he stated “Ahmed Hussain.” I then said, “Right then, I’ll ring Carphone Warehouse and ask for Ahemed Hussain. If they can connect me to you, I’ll gladly apologise.” So, I asked him again for his job role-and just like that, he hung up. If ever you’re in doubt, always call the number listed on the official website. Better to be safe than sorry!

Got a call on my mobile from a woman with an Indian accent, could barely make out what she was saying - the only word I caught was “survey”. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Cheers to everyone who’s shared their experiences before, it helped a lot.

I got hit with 3 calls one after the other, all from numbers that were kinda similar. Every time I declined one, another would ring through straight away.

Looks like we’re all getting calls around the same time, right? Didn’t even hear mine ring so I didn’t answer, but seeing how everyone’s responding, probably a good thing I didn’t.

I had no clue what the person on the other end was trying to say!

SCAM - This lady claimed to be from O2... I’ve blocked the number straight away.

They cut the line the moment I picked up the phone.

I've been receiving incessant calls from someone with an Indian accent, and it's become quite a nuisance. I've taken the initiative to report it to multiple platforms and even resorted to blocking the number.

Got a call from a man with a heavy accent, said his name was David and he was from Amazon. He kept talking about my Amazon Prime account, which I don’t even have! Totally suspicious.

01252242019 rang me on my mobile earlier, but I didn’t pick up and they left no voicemail. After seeing the comments here, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

it said aldershot on the caller id. answered and some guy with a weird accent claimed he was calling from carphone warehouse with a promo deal. was offering iphones or something. after hanging up, i checked online and loads of others had the same scam call. these fake free iPhone ads on Instagram are honestly getting out of control!

Answered but there was nothing on the line, just silence. Ended the call quick. Feels like a scam to me.

Received a call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse attempting to offload an iPhone 13 Pro Max for just £20 monthly. Quite obviously a scam!

Apparently it was Car Phone Warehouse. I asked what the call was about and he just shouted some swear words at me before slamming down the phone. Not a very professional scam at all.

Somebody called me trying to push a new iPhone, but the accent was so heavy I could hardly catch what he was saying. When I asked where they got my number from, the call just got cut off. Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sykes Solutions, which I’ve never heard of before. Definitely didn’t ask for a call from them. I cut the call straight away. I wouldn’t pick up if they’re calling you either.

Called and then cut off. Didn't bother to leave any message. I've now added them to my blocked list!

Got a call from a person with a kinda foreign accent claiming they were running some phone promo. Even after I said no quite nicely, they just kept pushing and wouldn't back off. Proper frustrating!

My mobile provider has informed me that this number is likely a scam, and they've recommended against picking up.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from a promo company, or something about a promo phone call. Their accent was so hard to catch, made no sense really. Totally suspicious, felt like a scam for sure.

The person on the other end rattled off their words at breakneck speed, leaving me utterly baffled - before I knew it, they’d already disconnected the call!
