So I got a call from 01251618292, this bloke saying he was Steve from the Technical Department, talking about my internet. I told him I was just about to head out and couldn’t chat, asked what it was about but he didn’t reply. Then I said I’d be out all day and to give me a ring later, but this idiot asks if he can call me back in five minutes! Then he just hung up on me. Honestly, quite amusing really.

Got a call from 01251618292 the other day. Some bloke called Steve claimed he was with the Technical Department about my internet. I said I was just about to head out and asked what it was about. Nothing, just silence. Told him I’d be out all day and to call back later. Then he asks if he should ring me in 5 minutes or something like that! Ended with him abruptly hanging up. Quite a funny experience, to be honest.

I just got a call from 01251 434648 with an automated voice claiming they'd charged me £39.99 for Amazon Prime. Totally a scam, you’d never get calls like this from Amazon. Definitely ignore it!

Just got calls from 0125 1166514 and 012043939212, didn't pick up but they left a voicemail claiming £99 was taken from my account and asked me to press 1 to fix it. Clearly a scam. These annoying calls keep coming non-stop, sometimes three in a row every single day. Really fed up with it all.

Got a call from 01251 810711, sounded like those typical Amazon Prime scams. I used to have Prime before but I definitely don’t now. It’s frustrating that these numbers keep popping up and causing trouble for so many folks who get caught out. You’d think GCHQ or the phone companies or even the government could just block these scammers for good - why aren’t they doing anything? It's just sad how many people fall for this nonsense.

Just got a call from 01251 627292 claiming to be Amazon, saying they were going to take £79.99 from my bank. They asked me to press 1 to cancel it but I knew it was dodgy so I hung up straight away. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Beware of a scam involving a fraudulent caller posing as BT. The initial contact is an automated message claiming that your landline and internet will be disconnected due to suspected suspicious activity. The call then swiftly connects with an operator who states that only the internet will be suspended, due to the same suspicious activity mentioned earlier. When I questioned the caller about proving their affiliation with BT, they stated that they could provide my 'licence number'. However, since BT does not issue licenses, I quickly terminated the call. It is concerning to note that I received a recent bill from the legitimate BT, suggesting that the scammer somehow obtained access to my personal information.

I've been getting calls loads lately from someone saying my internet's about to get disconnected. They keep telling me to hit 1 to stop it, like it’s urgent. Sometimes the number shows up, other times it’s blocked, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same dodgy scammer every time. It’s been happening around four times a day for nearly a week now. Total nuisance!

There was an attempted scam pretending to be Amazon, with the caller being clearly Indian. The phone number used was 01251 564542. Unfortunately, none of the relevant authorities - such as Amazon, BT, or Action Fraud - seemed interested in pursuing the issue because my elderly parents did not fall victim to the scam.

A person rang claiming to be from Sky, saying they were there to sort out my internet issues. The odd thing is, we did have some problems a little while ago. I told them I'd get in touch with Sky myself if it acted up again. But they insisted they could fix it straight away or call me back later. I refused, and then they threatened to cut off my connection. I told them to go ahead since it wasn't a bother. Sure enough, they ended the call. The number they used to contact me was 01251 365 900.

So ive found out that 01251 isnt actually linked to any place here in the UK, but when you take off the zero and just look at 1251, it shows up as Jhajjar, which is a district in india with a kinda odd name. So its pretty clear that if you get a call from 01251, its probably a dodgy call trying to scam you, and its better to just ignore it.

So, this number 01251227525 called me earlier, but it wasn’t one I knew. I didn’t pick up and just let it ring through to my voicemail. Later on, I looked it up on Google and found out that the code 01251 isn’t assigned to any real place. Sounds like it’s probably just another scam trying its luck.

Got a call from 01251350209 claiming to be from BT, but my bills are fully paid through Sky. She started threatening to cut off my internet! This has happened loads of times before, always from different numbers. When I asked her to send something in writing to prove it was legit, she just ended the call straight away!

I picked up but no one spoke. When I looked up the number, it seemed pretty dodgy. Earlier today, I also got a ring from 02857 311360, which sounded like it was from somewhere in the Netherlands, I reckon. Neither of these are in my contacts, so I’m guessing some dodgy lot are trying their luck. Like a mate once told me: "Stay sharp, Britain needs watches."

A scammer attempted to convince me to give him access to my computer by offering to check my internet speed.

Today, a caller with the number 01251647247 contacted me and claimed that there was ongoing maintenance on my phone line. They asked if my internet was working properly, to which I replied affirmatively, stating that there were no issues. Suspiciously, the caller then instructed me to enter a series of letters into a window labeled 'run.' Immediately sensing that this could be a scam, I promptly closed the window without following their instructions. To trace the origin of the call, I used the 1471 feature and obtained the caller's number (as mentioned above). The individual persisted in calling me again, but I decided not to answer and kept the handset off. It is worth noting that despite their continued attempts, my internet connection remains unaffected. However, had I complied with their demands, I might have encountered problems.

This number has rung me heaps of times saying they're from TalkTalk, warning that someone's trying to hack into my internet. They tell me to check my router lights and ask how many are blinking. I told them none, as I actually cancelled TalkTalk last month because their service was rubbish. Right after that, they just cut the call.

I received a call from the number 01251 913432, but when I tried to call it back, I got a message saying "number does not exist". It's most probably just another irresponsible person, possibly from another country trying to get around the law, engaging in illegal activities, causing annoyance, and wasting time. If 01525 is indeed an area code, it corresponds to Fleet Hampshire. However, I highly doubt that the call actually originated from there.
