Got a call from a number saying they were from Wales but apparently their office is actually based in New Delhi. They pretended to be from places like Carphone Warehouse, Currys, Visa or Mastercard. Beware of this amazon scam! I got a call from a really polite lady’s voice, definitely sounded professional but it was just a recording trying to trick people. They didn’t say amazon right away, just that some apple iphone had been bought for more than £700. Then it said press 1 to cancel or get a refund.
