Got a call from an unfamiliar number, 01226667625, but no message left. Just ended up blocking it. Anyone else getting loads of these random calls recently? It's becoming a right nuisance.

I had a call from an unrecognised number starting with 01222, so I’ve just popped it on my block list. If it’s not a number I know, I usually just don’t pick up.

Got a call from 01223343386 at 9:49 on the 11th of July. Doesn’t look like a proper UK number to me, might be from overseas? Maybe India or somewhere else? The phone only rang a short time before cutting off. About 20 minutes earlier, I’d already had a dodgy call from “Sam the health worker” using 01280852186, so I wondered if it was the same bloke trying again.

Got a call from a scammer a few times now, everytime I ask what they want and who they are, they just hang up. Really should be banned.

Got a call from 01225760120 at 8.14 this morning - it was one of those recorded messages about an unauthorised money deal. The 0122 number made me suss it straight away, definitely a scam.

Had a call from someone claiming they were from Microsoft, asking about my PC. When I said I didn’t have one, they kept insisting I did and even named who it was supposedly registered to. When I kept saying no, they just hung up eventually.

Got a call from 01223939727 saying they were from Virgin Media and needed to check my broadband, plus I was supposedly owed £345 in compensation. They told me to download some quick support TeamViewer thing. Once that was done, they had total control over my phone. When they asked me to open my mobile banking app to send the compensation, I instantly knew it was a SCAM. Such nasty people - they really deserve to be caught and punished.

01223938291 Claimed to be from Amazon, said I should check my emails because someone logged into my account and I had missed their message. Oddly, they knew my first name! They seemed to wrap things up quickly and I guess I was meant to call them back afterwards.

This morning, I received a call from number 0###2### at ###:###: ###22, but I chose not to pick up. Afterward, I decided to investigate the number through BT’s services. I also ran it through my Call Blocker app, which revealed a string of suspicious callers claiming to be from Virgin Mobile, HMRC, British Telecom, or Sky TV. It’s wise to be cautious with these 0###2 numbers-you never know what they might be up to!

Received a robocall informing me that I had supposedly executed two bank transactions: the first to Amazon for some amount and the other being an overseas payment. It's clear this is a scam, so I strongly advise against engaging with the caller. Best to block this number without a second thought! Also, it might be wise to get in touch with your bank and make them aware of this dubious call. Stay vigilant!

I received a call from an 0122 number earlier today, claiming that my Virgin Mobile account had been compromised. When I inquired whether I could return the call, they insisted it wasn't feasible, so I decided to terminate the conversation.

I got calls from 01222 402166 and 07956 381870, seems like the same scam. They were ringing each other and both claiming I was caught up in some HMRC Tax Fraud. They ask you to press 1, but whatever you do, don’t press it. Just hang up and block those numbers straight away.

HMRC called with a recorded message saying if I didn’t press 1 I’d be arrested soon. Didn’t press it. Rang the police and they confirmed it was a scam. It sounded so real!!

I received a call from a woman who sounded as though she had an Indian accent, ringing me from 0122###. She claimed that my landline bill was outstanding and that I needed to settle it immediately to prevent disconnection. It was clearly a con, as I manage my payments through a monthly direct debit. I quickly ended the conversation!

Yesterday, my elderly mum got a call from this number with an automated voice saying £600 was gonna be taken from her Visa card for someone overseas. It told her to press 1 to approve or 2 to talk to a team member. We rang her bank straight away and luckily they said no such payment was made or even asked for.

These 0122 numbers keep ringing me up loads of times daily from loads of different numbers like the ones listed here - whenever I block one, they just switch to another. They claim to be HMRC, Broadband service cancelling, PayPal, Netflix, or no sound at all. 01227539987 Some bloke rang me about tax fraud, saying there was a warrant for my arrest unless I paid up straight away. He even faked a call pretending to be from my local police. I just ended the call without sharing any info, blocked the number, and then rang my local police station to check.

Got two separate calls from numbers beginning with 0122. First call, this bloke said he was from HMRC and told me to press 1 'cause there was some issue with my tax. Didn't press anything, just blocked it. The following day, got another call from a different 0122 number, no one spoke, just silence, then they hung up. Definitely a scam, both numbers blocked now.

I received a call from 0122### where the person on the other end claimed there was an issue with my computer. They tried to convince me to grant them access to my device in order to temporarily cut it off from the internet. It’s clearly a scam, as they probably want to hit you with a fee to restore your connection afterwards. I didn’t take the bait, but just a heads up to everyone out there-stay vigilant!

Got a call on the 3rd of December at 9:36am from a woman with an American accent saying my Amazon Prime subscription was about to renew for £97.99 and to press 1 for more info. I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account, so I ignored it and the call ended after about 20 seconds. Then yesterday at 12:53, I got the exact same call from a number that didn’t exist when I tried to call back. Pretty sure these are dodgy scam calls trying to steal my card details or something.

Got an irritating call from this number, 0122###. The chap on the line claimed to be from Sky TV and insisted that I’d need to cough up a fee for the engineer's visit if I ever needed one. Rather dubious, I’d say!

01526019051, 01571914349, 01126885817, 01722074875, and 01829385193 all rang me at different times but just cut off when my answering machine started. I looked these numbers up this morning, especially the last one which called at 08:30, and none of them seem to be real. I also checked 01228544633, from Cambridge area, and when I called back, a lady answered. I asked who she was, and she said my number showed on her missed calls but she had no clue why. Pretty odd!

Fraudulent call - 'We've flagged issues with your TalkTalk Broadband account’. I reckon they must have obtained my number during that TalkTalk data leak a while back. ### is located in the UK, and 0### is from Barnsley. The Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to be worth much these days; it feels like the UK has reverted to a lawless frontier, where anything goes.

On 7th of March 2019, I got 3 calls from an American automated message saying my internet service would be cut off. I just hung up straight away. One other call had no one on the line. I never replied or anything. The number was 01227692492.
