I received two calls this morning from a 00121 number. The initial one rang in around 7.### am, followed by another one at 7.### am. The first call was from an automated voice claiming to be “BT,” discussing some supposed issues with Broadband. The second call ended abruptly before I could even answer! I prefer to wait until they say something, just to ascertain who's on the other end. Honestly, I've lost count of the number of times they’ve claimed that money has been withdrawn from various accounts. It’s clear these are just scammers from abroad trying their luck. I've found that by simply letting my answerphone do its job and ignoring them, they eventually seem to lose interest and stop calling. So, keeping the answerphone switched on works a treat!

I just had a rather dodgy automated call from 00121 ### ### ### claiming to be BT, warning me that my broadband would be cut off today. I didn't stick around to hear the full spiel and hung up straight away. But upon checking your site, it seems I'm not the only one! For the past three years, I’ve been plagued by incessant calls from these individuals. Some days I receive three or four, while on others it might just be one, yet it seems to be a daily occurrence. I can't help but wonder if they continue to ring while I'm out and about. What truly baffles me is why these nuisances can't be silenced or threatened with legal consequences. I've experienced the same muted treatment as well, usually from a female voice with an Asian or Indian accent. At this point, I've grown somewhat desensitised to it all; I often just hang up without a second thought. It’s incredibly tiresome and downright maddening, especially during moments of peace and quiet.

I've got these brilliant BT ### phones equipped with BT call guard, and I can honestly say I've seen a total drop in those pesky nuisance calls. It’s incredible! What’s great is these phones work on any provider’s line, not just BT. Even though my service isn’t through them, I still rely on my trusty BT ### handsets. They’re superb for tackling those unwanted calls!

I had this chap on the phone who claimed he could slash my phone bill, but I wasn't really keen on that - I’m not even the one footing the bill as I'm not the homeowner! I made that clear, yet he persisted. To top it off, he kept referring to me as 'love' and was quite pushy about wanting my mobile number to keep in touch. Quite unnerving, really! I decided enough was enough and hung up.
