The call actually came from Consett, near Newcastle, and the address they gave wasn’t even from the UK. Both the person who called and the supposed supervisor sounded Indian based on their accents. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from some company called Phone UK saying they were doing promotions. When I asked them to take me off their list, they wouldn’t listen and also wouldn’t put me through to a manager. They said they were based in London, but the call actually showed up as coming from Consett, near Newcastle. Plus, they gave me an address that wasn’t even in the UK. Both the person who called and the supposed supervisor had strong Indian accents. Pretty clear to me this was a scam.

Here’s the trick they pull: they say they’ll slash your bill by half and then send you a code via text. If you share that code with them, they’ll order an iPhone using your details but have it delivered somewhere else, and you’re left to pay up. Trust me, don’t hand over any codes from your phone, no matter what!
