I got a call from a guy who sounded nice enough, quite young actually, but he was trying to scam me about retirement plans or something like that. He definitely had a bunch of lines ready to go because it was hard to get a word in edgeways, even though it wasn’t a robotic message or anything. Needless to say, I just blocked the number.

Somebody rang about loft insulation, going on about how I should check for damp or mould up there. I got a bit fed up and told him straight I don’t share any details with cold callers, then just ended the call.

Got a call from this number a moment ago. The bloke claimed he was some kind of local energy advisor. Thing is, the call came through from Bournemouth, but I live in Nottingham. When he asked if I owned the place, I said no - told him I’m a council tenant - and he instantly hung up. What a muppet.

I reckon it’s that same person who’s been hassling me for windows and doors for ages now. Every time I block one number they just ring from another mobile number. Proper annoying. Definitely some kind of scammer, very professional at bothering folks.

We usually don’t pick up calls from numbers we don’t know. We wait to see if they leave a voicemail, then check the caller info here afterwards. Now, those numbers are just blocked on our phone.
