Some bloke called claiming to be an energy advisor in my area. I asked him where he was from and he said Reading. I’m up in north Nottinghamshire, so I thought that was a bit odd for a “local.” I told him I was knackered and maybe needed a bit of energy myself, so what could he suggest? Turns out he wanted to talk about loft insulation. Couldn't help but laugh, as we’d just had ours sorted! Bit of a waste of time really.

This guy called saying he worked for the local power company and kept grilling me about the insulation in my loft. Then he asked if I was between 45 and 85 years old or older. He promised a free survey, after which he’d recommend a supplier for me to think about. He said he was putting my info into his system, but I noticed he hadn’t even asked for my phone number yet. When I asked him about it, he said he had to check with his supervisor because he was still new at the job. I told him to get lost.

Like others have said in the reviews here, I got a call from a bloke claiming to be an energy consultant about home insulation. Being a bit wary I asked him for his company’s name, and he just said he was from 'Reading' or somewhere close. Then I pointed out that the number showing up on my phone had a Bournemouth dialling code instead of the usual Reading area code which starts with 01189. Right after that, he hung up on me without a word. Total scammer nonsense!
