I just got a call from someone saying they done a home insulation survey at my place, which is strange cos I never had one done at all. Felt a bit fishy to me, like they were trying to catch me out or something. Definitely wouldn’t trust that call!

A bloke called me claiming he was from Reading and wanted to check my loft for dampness for free or something. Didn’t really pay any attention to what I said, just kept going on about himself over and over. When I asked if he was local, he insisted he was from Reading and kept saying it was something they’d advertised on the telly and in the Telegraph. Proper persistent guy.

This number 01202794772 has been ringing me loads but as soon as the answerphone picks up they just hang up. I’m convinced it’s some scam going on because they tried to ring me before and when I did pick up, they claimed to be from the Government about loft insulation. Thing is, I don’t even have a loft since I live in a flat that was built that way! So dodgy if you ask me.

Lately, I've had so many dodgy calls it’s unreal. This one was a bit weird because the number showed up as local, and I do live in Bournemouth. I didn’t pick up at first, but I checked with 1471 and it seemed like an actual Bournemouth number, so I called back. But when I did, all I got was a message saying “The service can’t be connected, the service can’t be connected.” Proper strange.

The guy started off claiming he was with the energy company and wanted to know if I owned the house. I asked him straight out who he was, and then he said he worked for some insulation advice group. I told him I had no interest in insulation at all, and then he just hung up.
