I got a call but my phone’s announcement setting made the caller hang up since they didn’t want to leave a voicemail. I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number now.

For three consecutive days now, I've been receiving calls from these pests. I've made it abundantly clear that I'm not a homeowner and reside in a ground floor flat. It's beyond irritating! I was livid yesterday and practically bellowed down the line for them to just stop bothering me. Here’s hoping that did the trick! I’m registered on the Telephone Preference Service, so I’m really baffled as to how they still manage to get through to me.

Didn't pick up, it was one of those annoying calls from an insulation scam, I reckon. Last time they rang, they claimed I qualified since apparently I don't have radiators. Strange, considering I saw them just the other day! Definitely blocking that number!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the ‘Residential Green Standards Centre’ in London. When I tried to check with Companies House, there was no record of them. As soon as I asked more about the company, the caller quickly hung up. They made it sound like it was a government programme, but really they just wanted to push some spray loft insulation, claiming the stuff I had was no good. Definitely felt dodgy.

Was this one of those so-called red alert system calls? Sounded dodgy as hell, I just ended the call straight away. Scam for sure.

So this guy phoned me claiming he was from some medical alert company, saying I could get a free alert device without paying anything. He asked if I was over 50, but I didn’t want to tell him and just said I wasn’t interested in it. After that, I just hung up on him.

I received a rather relentless phone call today from a chap who introduced himself as Tom. He claimed that my address is listed on some kind of registry for properties that have had shoddy loft insulation fitted. However, here's the rub - he couldn't even tell me my name, which seems a bit dodgy if I'm supposedly on some official register. He kept interrupting me, prattling on with his script instead of actually listening. He mentioned that after our chat, a manager would give me a ring. The truth is, I've never had my loft done at all, and I’m convinced this so-called registry is nothing more than a fabrication!

Just had a right nuisance of a ring from a bloke calling himself Patrick, purporting to be my local energy consultant. It's the latest dodgy 01202 number in a long line of scam artists. I decided to have a bit of fun with him - told him I’d fetch my wallet to dish out my credit card info (not that I possess any credit cards whatsoever, mind you). I chucked the phone on speaker, made myself a steaming cup of tea, plopped down to catch up on Sky Sports News, and waited for him to twig on. The only cash he’ll ever see from me is in his wildest dreams! Eventually, he got fed up and hung up on me. I sincerely hope karma catches up with him, and all these scammer types get their just deserts in the most unfortunate way!

I recently received a rather peculiar call from someone claiming to be "Patrick." Apparently, he fancies himself as everyone's friendly neighbourhood Energy Adviser! The conversation came to an unexpected halt while he was explaining how a Surveyor would pop round at no charge to me because of my age, check my loft, and provide me with a Certificate. Quite bemusing, really!

I recently received a rather dubious phone call from an individual purporting to represent the Residential Green Standards Association. I had to pry for the name of his company, which he described as a private enterprise situated in London, specialising in loft surveys. Oddly enough, the call came from Bournemouth. While I do have an interest in enhancing my loft insulation, the chap on the line seemed so soulless and vague that I’ve decided against engaging with them. A quick search online for the company he mentioned yielded absolutely no results. I’ll certainly look into my loft insulation, but it won’t be with whatever dodgy outfit he’s trying to peddle (if it even exists).
