I got a call but my phone’s announcement setting made the caller hang up since they didn’t want to leave a voicemail. I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number now.

For three days in a row now, I’ve had calls from them despite me saying I’m not a homeowner and that I live in a ground floor flat. They’re honestly so frustrating. Yesterday, I got so mad I yelled at them to just stop calling me. Hopefully that did the trick! I’m on the TPS, so I can’t figure out how they’re even allowed to ring me.

Didn't pick up, it was one of those annoying calls from an insulation scam, I reckon. Last time they rang, they claimed I qualified since apparently I don't have radiators. Strange, considering I saw them just the other day! Definitely blocking that number!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the ‘Residential Green Standards Centre’ in London. When I tried to check with Companies House, there was no record of them. As soon as I asked more about the company, the caller quickly hung up. They made it sound like it was a government programme, but really they just wanted to push some spray loft insulation, claiming the stuff I had was no good. Definitely felt dodgy.

Was this one of those so-called red alert system calls? Sounded dodgy as hell, I just ended the call straight away. Scam for sure.

So this guy phoned me claiming he was from some medical alert company, saying I could get a free alert device without paying anything. He asked if I was over 50, but I didn’t want to tell him and just said I wasn’t interested in it. After that, I just hung up on him.

Got a call today from someone who said his name was Tom, kept ringing me about a list of homes with faulty loft insulation. He couldn’t actually tell me my name though, which he said he would if I was on this so-called register. The bloke kept cutting me off, clearly reading from a script, trying to keep me on the phone. He said after I spoke to him, a manager would get in touch. Problem is, I’ve never had my loft done, and I’m pretty sure this register is made up.

Got a call from some scam bloke named Patrick pretending to be my local energy adviser. The number was 01202, a classic scam line. I immediately joked about fetching my wallet to hand over my card details (which I don’t even own, no credit or store cards at all). Put the phone on speaker, brewed myself a strong cuppa, and settled down to watch Sky Sports News, waiting for him to cotton on (the only payment he’ll get from me is in cash). After a bit, he just gave up and hung up. Honestly, hope those scammers get what they deserve and their bloody families stop supporting them.

So I got a ring from someone named "Patrick", the self-proclaimed Local Energy Adviser or whatever. Right as he was telling me that a Surveyor would come round for free (something to do with my age) to check out my Loft and give me some kind of Certificate, the call just stopped out of nowhere. Quite odd really!

Got a ring from a bloke said he was with the Residential Green Standards Association. I asked straight up which company he represented and he told me it’s a private firm doing loft surveys based in London. Oddly enough, he was calling from Bournemouth. I’m keen on getting my loft insulation done but the guy sounded really scripted and didn’t give me much useful info, so I won’t be going with them. Had a quick look online for the firm’s name and nothing came up. I’ll get my loft sorted out, just not through that mystery company he was pushing.
