He typically introduces himself with a line like, "Our records indicate that you are the household's main contact." He often uses names like John or Paul and claims to be your local energy adviser. It's almost as if he has insider knowledge regarding the loft insulation we have or something similar. This, along with other Bournemouth numbers beginning with 01202 1435**, have been harassing me for over a year now - I even had two calls just yesterday! Frankly, the Telephone Preference Service has been utterly ineffectual in addressing this situation. I strongly advise against revealing any personal information, not even your name, to this individual. Stay vigilant!

Some bloke rang me out of the blue about my loft insulation and energy stuff, saying their records showed I still had old, outdated insulation. When I asked him how he got that info about my home, he just cut me off! Feels like they were probably trying to sell insulation that most folks don’t actually need!

I got a call around 5:50pm from a number I didn't know, so I let it ring out. After that, I noticed loads of calls coming in from numbers that looked pretty much the same, so I just blocked them all.

I had a feeling this was a dodgy call since it was from a 0120 number - always a sign of a scam. I answered right away and sure enough, some mug trying to sell me a medical alert pendant. He kept jabbering away but all I did was keep saying “No thanks” over and over till he finally got bored. Next time I’m gonna be more blunt and tell them to shove it. Seriously, don’t fall for it! If you’re feeling cheeky and have nothing better to do, just keep them chatting till they give up and hang up. Hilarious!

A chap phoned me up, claiming he was from the Residential Green Standards Agency and was inquiring about loft insulation. He mentioned that the majority of homes nearby had already been assessed and suggested that our existing insulation might be a bit dated, potentially leading to issues. At that juncture, I pressed him for more details regarding the agency he claimed to represent, and lo and behold, he hung up! I can’t shake the feeling that this might be a dodgy scam.

I reiterated my question, noting that there were several individuals at home, but he chose to hang up instead.
