Somebody rang me out of the blue today, no clue who they were. I didn’t ask for the call and I’m really not keen on being bothered like this. Honestly, I’d appreciate it if they just stopped calling and found something proper to do instead. Feels like harassment to me since I want to be left in peace.

Got a call from a man saying he was with the "Residential Green Standards Centre", said they were London-based but covered the whole country. He mentioned that our insulation might be causing damp and that we needed a loft inspection. Once he realised I was noting everything and seemed doubtful, he just hung up. Couldn't find any info about this group online. Feels dodgy to me, probably a scam, though I can't be certain.

Got a call from a number almost the same as one I’d seen before, saying I needed urgent work done on my roof. They made it sound pretty serious, so I played my usual game and asked for the address in question. The bloke wasn’t having any of it and struggled to answer. Then I threw in that I have eight properties to confuse him a bit. He started getting all muddled and said he’d have to check with his manager and ring me back. Truth is, I only own one place but they totally lose it if you mess with their script.

I caught a call from a dodgy number and the voice sounded like it was partly automated, using a fixed set of phrases that seemed to respond to what I said. I just replied with nonsense mixed with "hi" here and there, which totally threw them off. It’s clearly a scam. This was the tenth time today I’ve had calls from numbers starting 012021436, mostly ending with 84, plus a couple ending in 88, and one each ending with 92 and 99. Don’t bother ringing them back - if you press 1 to unsubscribe or 2 to speak to someone, you’ll probably just end up in a worse mess.

Got calls from some dodgy lot pretending to be from the Green Deal government scheme - sounded totally like a scam. They kept droning on, waiting for me to say "ok" before going any further, pretty annoying. What’s worse, this was a robot call and they rang several times.
