The phone call was picked up by my husband, who has disabilities. The caller was offering some kind of free medical alert gadget that would switch on automatically if he fell. I have no idea why he kept listening, but after a while, he found out the rental was actually £29 each month. They almost made it sound like they were connected to the NHS. It's horrible how they target vulnerable people like this. How on earth do they know we’re seniors anyway? Feels like they've somehow got access to the government records, especially as he just renewed his disabled parking badge recently.

I just had a rather dubious interaction with "Tom" the Bot, who reached out concerning my recent loft insulation fitting (how strange is that?!!). They dispatched a so-called 'surveyor' who insisted that I require a fancy spray on the underside of my roof to combat condensation - and by the sounds of it, it’s going to set me back quite a bit of cash! Seems like a complete con to me.

I've received a couple of calls within a span of just two days. The chap on the line claimed to be "Tom" from the "Residential Green Standards Centre" in London. Quite clearly, it’s a dodgy call as the accent screams anything but London!
