For sure a scam call. The bloke claimed he worked for the local electricity provider. Since my number isn’t listed anywhere, I asked him where he found it and then he just stopped talking. They called back a few days after that. I’ve blocked the number now.

The bloke who keeps ringing - calling himself Chris, Tom, Craig, Simon or Patrick - is actually Stuart Wright, born 19/01/1965. That number, along with several others tied to the same scam, all trace back to 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF, registered under his name. It's pretty clear where this con artist calls home. No surprise he’s living in a massive posh house worth millions given how much he scams people out of! He’s known to be a proper tech nerd and is behind all those attic insulation scam calls that have been going around.

Over the past couple of days, I got a pair of calls both starting with the same code, 01202143. One came from 269, the other from 181. I've got a nuisance call filter on my landline so I’m not about to risk saying my name just to pick up. Feels pretty dodgy to me.

Some guy called claiming he was John from a driveway firm and wanted info about it. I asked what he needed the details for but he just went quiet, so I ended the call. Just like others have mentioned, the guy running this loft scam is a conman named Stuart Wright. He lives at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, and all the phone numbers linked to this scam are registered under his name and address. It makes sense why he’s got such a fancy big house - he’s constantly ripping off people!

This guy said he was from the council's insulation team and claimed my current loft insulation was making my house damp. He wanted to arrange for someone to come round and check it out.

Just like others have pointed out, the guy running this loft scam is some bloke named Stuart Wright who lives at 21a Plymouth Road in Barnt Green, Birmingham. All the phone numbers linked to the scam come back to him and that address. No shocker he’s got himself a fancy big house, guess he’s been conning loads of people to afford it!

I've been getting loads of calls from numbers starting with 012021 43.... I never pick up as I don’t answer unknown callers, but weirdly, none have left a voicemail - even though my answer machine clearly says they can leave a message. It's pretty annoying!
