Another scam call from someone claiming to be in Bournemouth. This bloke’s used at least 18 different numbers so far, even after I told him not to phone a second time since my number’s on the TPS. Really hope Ofcom, the TPS, and the data protection folks step in and put a stop to this once and for all.

Today, I got my 15th call from some bloke named Alex at 'Solar Centre', pushing a discount on solar panels if we took part in some 'promo drive' with just 4 homes chosen in our area. When I told him to stop ringing and to take our number off their auto dialler list, the call just cut out. We've been getting these calls for about 5 weeks now. I’m curious how long I’ll be able to keep him talking when he calls again… waiting to find out when that annoying ring will come back!

Scam alert - I keep getting calls from numbers starting 01202 143... and then they switch to things like 269, 265 and more. They never bother leaving a voicemail, and whenever I answer, some energy advisor claims to be nearby with all sorts of stories that seem dodgy, so I just end the call. I block each of these with BT Call Protect, but they keep using different numbers which is pretty annoying.

Just like others have pointed out, this guy Stuart Wright is behind the whole loft scam. He’s from 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham. All the phone numbers linked to this scam are registered to him at that address. No surprise he’s got a fancy big house when he’s constantly ripping people off!
