This caller was really rude and made no sense at all. If it was supposed to be a scam, it was pretty strange. They just rang up sounding quite nasty.

This caller said they were from an insulation company, but it was like I was dealing with some kind of machine. Every time I tried asking anything, I got no proper answer. Then, bizarrely, it asked me to spell out my last name. When I told them I wasn't interested, all it did was repeat the request to spell my surname. Definitely felt like it was some automated system. In the end, I just hung up.

Got a call from this bloke claiming he was with some legitimate insulation company. When I asked him for a contact number, the line suddenly got all glitchy and then he just hung up on me. I was quite puzzled, so I dialled 1471 to check the number and it turned out to be a landline after all. What a nightmare! This bloke gets hold of your number and just won’t stop ringing you up, over and over. He switches his phone number every couple of months to dodge being blocked or whatever. It’s some sort of dodgy energy scheme. No point hanging up - he just calls straight back again. Really annoying!

I got a call and just stayed quiet the whole time. I'm pretty sure it was one of those calls that listens for you to say something first - some kind of robotic system that waits for a response, then either a scammer or an automated machine kicks in to try the usual tricks.

About a week later, I think it was the same bloke ringing again. I cut him off and asked for the company's name three times, then he did the same thing, said thanks and ended the call.
