Rang me up purporting to be from an insulation company, but honestly, conversing with them felt more like chatting to a machine. Every time I asked a question, there was no real response; instead, they bizarrely requested me to spell out my last name. Got a call from this bloke claiming he was with some legitimate insulation company. When I asked him for a contact number, the line suddenly got all glitchy and then he just hung up on me. I received a call earlier, but I chose not to respond. Something tells me it might have been one of those voice-activated scams-where they rely on some clever algorithms to pick up on human chatter. Fast forward a week, and lo and behold, the same chap (or so I reckon) called me yet again. I cut him off mid-sentence, asking for the name of his company a good few times, but once more, he graciously thanked me for my time before ending the call. Quite the persistent one, isn’t he?
