Oh goodness, it's a right laugh, isn’t it? Our so-called energy advisor, Patrick, is a complete farce! Just the other week, I got a similar call, but this time it was from someone named Chris. It’s clearly a scam, plain and simple!

They rung but never left any message, even though my answer phone showed missed call. So I guess it wasnt meant for me.

This is definitely an automated call pretending to be a real person. The caller introduces themselves as Chris, Cliff, Patrick, or other names, claiming to be your local energy rep - which isn't even a real job title. Their goal is to get you to agree to a loft insulation survey so they can push spray foam insulation, trying to scare you about possible mould issues with traditional loft insulation. They call from different numbers but all start with 012021432. If you want to end the call fast, just hang up. Or, when they ask "Are you the homeowner?" simply say "no" and they’ll stop. If you feel like wasting some time, keep making them repeat their script.

Got a call on the 17th of Nov, sounded like one of those call centres, probably about loft insulation or some kind of home improvement. I've been getting loads of calls from numbers starting with 01202 132 lately.

Hahaha, they pretend to be from the local energy company but it's a total scam! Just block any number they call from. They have loads of them but they usually share the same area code. Don't fall for it!

Got a call from some bloke called Patrick claiming to be a ‘local energy advisor’. Dunno where he found my number, and if he’s meant to be from Bournemouth, that’s miles away from here! Wouldn’t answer any of my questions, just went on with his spiel. Said our loft insulation was ‘traditional’ or summat like that. Like he could see right through the roof or something. When I pushed back, he just hung up on me.

This number keeps calling me nonstop. I told the TPS about it, but they said the firm linked to this number says they haven't got a clue about these calls. Sounds like someone's cloned the number or something. TPS said they can’t really do anything more about it.

Just like a lot of others have mentioned, the bloke running this loft scam is a proper conman named Stuart Wright, living at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham. All the phone numbers linked to this scam are under his name and address. No surprise he’s got a fancy place - he’s always pulling these tricks to scam people! He’s been reported loads of times but hasn’t stopped yet. Let’s keep reporting him so they actually do something, cause none of us deserve to get caught out like this.

This was a total scam call, best thing is just to disconnect and block the number if you can. Don’t engage with them at all.

Today I've had a couple of annoying calls. For the first one, I just ignored them talking as I didn’t feel like responding. The second call I left it to the answerphone and it didn’t take long before they ended the call.
