A bloke rang me twice on my landline here in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Before that, he’d tried a mate’s number down in Bournemouth. When he first called a couple of days back, I asked him where he got my digits from, but he dodged the question and kept blethering about loft insulation and a free survey to check what kind of insulation we have. I told him he was wasting my time and hung up. Then he rang again today on 01202143192, and I knew straight away it was the same guy. He started his usual scripted spiel in a posh accent, but I cut him off and said I was onto his scam and that I’d already reported him on a fraud website - which I did.

Got a call about fibre glass loft insulation and some condensation issues. The bloke asked if I'd had it looked at. I said yes, the loft’s got plenty of ventilation so I didn’t think it was an issue. Then suddenly he just hung up on me without saying anything else. So I blocked the number straight away.

Got calls from Chris, Tom, Craig and Simon - turns out it’s all just Stuart David Wright using different names. The number links back to 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF, registered to Stuart Wright. Looks like we’ve found where this bloke’s been scamming everyone. No surprise he’s got a big house with all the dodgy stuff he’s been up to!

They’ve called a couple times now saying my place has outdated loft insulation. Funny thing is, I live in a flat with another flat right above me, so no loft at all, let alone old insulation. Feels like a scam to me, they’d surely have fixed their info after the first time if not.
