Heads up - this is most definitely an energy scam. They call multiple times daily, swapping out the last three digits of their phone number every time. So when you block one number, another similar one rings you shortly after, just with those last digits different to trick you. It's relentless and goes on for a good few days. Be careful!

Some bloke called himself Chris and wouldn’t stop going on about how old attic insulation leads to condensation. I couldn’t even get a word out! After a bit, he asked for my last name and I just told him “no.” He then tried to find out how old I was, so I fibbed. After a couple more tries, he gave up. Number’s blocked now.

When I asked for his manager's name or their office address, he refused to share any details. Eventually, he just kept me on hold, so I decided to end the call.

Got a call a few hours back from someone saying they worked for a loft insulation firm. They tried a bit of fear-mongering, saying my current insulation might be causing mould and damp issues. Then they pushed a "free" survey - normally £70, apparently a special deal if you’re aged 50 to 75. Was quite pushy about getting me to agree. I said no thanks, and at least he was polite enough to wish me a good day afterwards.

When he claimed to be an energy advisor for my area, I thought he’d at least know my postcode, but nope - he just ended the call. Honestly, next time he rings, I’m gonna surprise him with my Acme thunder Fire Brigade whistle - it’s ear-splitting, sorry to anyone in Lincolnshire who might hear it! It did the trick with some persistent oven cleaner guy before, so fingers crossed!

This number belongs to Stuart David Wright, who apparently goes by Chris, Tom, Craig, or Simon sometimes. The address linked to him is 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, B45 8JF, under the name Stuart Wright. Seems we’ve actually got a lead on where this fraudster is based! Given the size of the house, it’s no surprise - must be all the money he’s making fooling people!
