Got this dodgy call from EE after I’d just got a new phone. Some woman said my SIM was about to expire in two days and I needed an upgrade. I told her cheers but I hadn’t received any email from EE about it and I’m wary of sorting stuff over the phone. She just ended the call. Not sure what they were after, but I’m definitely marking this as suspicious.

You sound like that same old asian scammer again.

Heard some office noises in the background and this shy voice kept asking if I was someone called NAME (different ones each time). Seems fishy to me since it’s always the exact same voice and that same noise coming from numbers like 01274790380, 90382, and 90246. Feels like a proper scam, just zero effort or anything original going on!

I picked up and could hear loads of background noise like a busy office, then they just ended the call after a few moments.
