I've been getting calls from this 'local energy advisor' lot, always ringing from various numbers, but this 01202 prefix keeps popping up again and again over the last couple of weeks - twice just today. When I picked up before, the bloke on the phone was always the same and was trying to sell loft insulation. I'm ex-directory and haven't shared my number with anyone, so this feels like a serious invasion of privacy.

The individual on the other end seemed to be reciting lines from a pre-written script. I barely managed to get a word in edgewise. It gave me the distinct impression that he was harping on about renewable energy! He inquired whether I owned the property. Clearly, it was a dodgy call. I graciously told him to take a hike and have a rather rude encounter.

Got loads of calls from some “digital solution marketing company” and it’s driving me mad. They keep ringing even after I press 1 to opt out. Now they’re switching to a different number starting with 01202 near Bournemouth, so it tricks you into thinking it’s local. Tried blocking through BT by dialling 1572 but that doesn’t do a thing - feels like BT are making a tidy profit from letting it slide. At least now we’ve got a clue where this dodgy caller is based! No surprise he’s got a pretty decent house - guess all the scamming pays off for him!
