Lately, I've been getting loads of calls from Bournemouth numbers. Every time I block one, another pops up straight away. Yesterday alone they tried ringing me three times - once at 11:04 then twice in the evening around 17:24 and 17:29. Luckily, I've got my phone set to screen unknown numbers so it doesn’t even ring, otherwise that would be super annoying.

The caller says they're a local energy advisor but it’s actually a robotic voice, sounds quite real though, probably AI. When you try to reply or ask anything, nothing happens. A rather articulate young chap reached out to me at my residence in Tamworth around 5 o'clock on the evening of 9th November 2021, using a Bournemouth phone number (01202143162). He claimed he was contacting the last few properties in the vicinity concerning loft insulation. According to him, many homeowners with loft insulation were unaware that it could potentially lead to damp issues, and his "eco-friendly" firm was conducting assessments to determine if residents had this sort of insulation installed. He inquired whether I fell within the 50 to 80 age bracket, as there could be discounts available for replacing any current insulation. I quickly interrupted him at that point, clarifying that we had no damp issues in our home, whether from insulation or otherwise. I then asked him directly how he had obtained my phone number, given that it's ex-directory. Initially, he avoided answering and continued to extoll the virtues of his survey. However, when I pressed him again for a response regarding the source of my number, he mentioned that his manager could provide that information once the survey was conducted. At that point, I informed him that I was about to hang up as he was becoming quite bothersome-and indeed, I did just that.
