Lately, I've been getting loads of calls from Bournemouth numbers. Every time I block one, another pops up straight away. Yesterday alone they tried ringing me three times - once at 11:04 then twice in the evening around 17:24 and 17:29. Luckily, I've got my phone set to screen unknown numbers so it doesn’t even ring, otherwise that would be super annoying.

Had a break of about three weeks where I wasn't getting nonstop calls from different 01202 numbers every day, which was a relief. But now it seems my number, which is ex-directory and registered with the TPS, is back at the top of this annoying bunch's dial list. Got calls from a number starting with 01202, which is Bournemouth code, but I'm nowhere near that area - it's about a 200-mile distance from where I live. The caller says they're a local energy advisor but it’s actually a robotic voice, sounds quite real though, probably AI. When you try to reply or ask anything, nothing happens. These calls come at least a couple of times a week and if you don’t say anything, it just hangs up. Proper irritating!

Some bloke calling himself "Alex" claimed to be an energy adviser from my area, but I don’t live anywhere near Bournemouth, where he said he was based. He went on really fast about loft MOTs and some sort of lists. When I asked why I was on any list and if he even knew my full name and address, he just ended the call.

Just after 5pm on 9th November 2021, I received a call at my home in Tamworth from a polite young chap using a Bournemouth number (01202143162). He explained he was contacting the last few numbers in the area about loft insulation. Apparently, his environmentally friendly firm is carrying out surveys because many homes with existing loft insulation might have damp issues they’re unaware of. He also asked if I was aged between 50 and 80, as there could be discounts on replacing the insulation within that age bracket. I cut him off quickly, saying that we haven’t had any damp trouble at all, and then asked where he got my phone number from, since mine is ex-directory. He ignored my query initially and kept going on about the survey’s benefits. When I asked again how he obtained my contact, he just said his manager would explain during the survey. I told him I was going to hang up as he was becoming quite frustrating, and that’s exactly what I did.
