I keep getting calls from 0119 claiming to be BT, had like 6 calls in just a couple of days. Ive blocked the number now but they keep ringing all hours. Properly annoying, definitely a scam.

Got a call from 0119 392 9285 claiming to be Amazon, said my iPhone 7 would be shipped as soon as I pay £327 😲 They wanted me to press 1 to speak to an agent. No chance I'm handing over that much for an iPhone 7 😂😂😂😂

Got a text claiming to be from Amazoon saying £1000 was taken from my bank for an iPhone purchase, told me to press 2 to stop it. I pressed 2 but the call just cut off. Really worried, feels dodgy and a bit risky to me.

Called by 01199754971 and got some robotic voice telling me my Amazon Prime was ending soon. I hung up straight away since I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account.

01193289922 Got a call with some automated voice and music playing, saying my internet would be cut off in four hours and to press 1 to talk to an internet advisor. I just hung up straight away.

01190159903 called me with an automated message about 2 suspicious transactions on my Visa. I pressed 2 like it said, then someone just said “hello” and cut the call. Quite weird!

0119 9591973 Got a robo call saying there was some dodgy activity on my Visa, mentioned something about a £400 payment to Western Union. The message told me to press 1 to approve or 2 to talk to someone. I didn’t press anything and just waited, it hung up on me in the end. When I actually had a scam charge on my credit card before, the bank sent me a text to warn me and told me to check my online account for the alert!

Got a call from a 0119 number, claimed he was from Sky. Asked me about my internet speed, I said it was all good. Then he goes on about it sometimes being slow and sometimes fast. I told him I ain't got no problem, he said I do, so I told him to stop wasting my time and never call again.

Got a quiet call from a number that’s no longer in use. Just blocked it.

01192474726 called me. I just said hi, didn’t really say anything else. She launched into a fast, loud spiel so quick you can’t get a word in. Female voice, said she was from BT offering 35% off calls. Had a strong asian accent. I just let her go on for a bit, then hung up. Added the number to my BT block list straight away. I do have BT and just changed my call plan recently. Definitely a dodgy one to lookout for!

Just got a call from a number starting with 0119, they asked me to press a button on the phone to approve some huge, made-up debit card transactions. From what I’ve read, all UK numbers starting with 0119 are usually dodgy, so this has to be a scam.

non-geographic - not assignedyetthe 0119 code hasnt been given to any particular area as of now.if you get a call starting with 0119, chances are the caller is faking where they are calling from.

0119700914 rang me but I didn’t answer. Later, trying to access my Spotify, it asked if I wanted to use my email or that number to log in, which I don’t recognise at all. Few days ago, my mates said they got spam emails from me. Also, a random number called me not long ago but I just ended the call immediately because I had no idea who it was.

Got a call from 0119 0512770, some asian bloke claiming he was from microsoft about my laptop. Kept going on about it being hacked and all that rubbish.

Got a prerecorded American message warning my internet would drop out, told to press 1 to chat with an adviser. Did that, had a word, then out of nowhere some Indian bloke starts yelling “t##k you, f#k you mother t##ker” at me! It was early morning too, I’m still not sure if I was dreaming! Perfect way to kick off the day!

got a call from 0119156264, didnt pick up and just blocked the number now.

I answered and just said hi, then some recorded voice replied with ‘goodbye’ and ended the call.?! This was the first out of two calls I got today from different 0119 numbers, both are blocked now.

This 0119 number keeps ringing me, but I’ve never picked up. Tried calling them back, but I can never get through to anyone! It’s rather frustrating, to say the least.
