I called 01189953815 back but it just told me I’d dialled the wrong number. Seems a bit sketchy to me.

This is getting ridiculous, they ring me at all hours, even more than once a day sometimes. I've stopped picking up and just block the numbers now. The worst has gotta be when they called me at half past eight on a Sunday night!

So today, around 12:36pm here in Plymouth, Devon, I got a call from an 0118 code which is from Reading. I didn’t pick up because I’d seen similar numbers call me before. I quickly blocked the number and looked it up online. Turns out it’s linked to a scam pretending to be a dodgy car insurance company named Samson Collier. Other people have reported it online too, so definitely a con according to the sites I checked.

Got a call from 01183150665, some lady with a really weird accent saying I'd been hacked or something. Couldn't make out everything she said properly but caught the bit about "You've been hacked." I just told her I'm sure it'll all get fixed and hung up.

I got a call on my landline from 01189 832882 claiming to be Amazon saying two payments were taken from my bank account earlier today. I picked up because I thought it was a mate from Reading. I’ve had quite a few calls like this, each time from a different number. One call even came from a number with my local area code.

Plexlam Advice or whatever name they go by seem to use numbers provided by WaveCrest (UK) Ltd, located at 4-12 Norton Folgate, London, E1 6DB, phone 020 7097 4000. You could try calling Andy in Customer Service if you want to lodge a complaint. Honestly, having their lines disconnected might be the quickest way to get them to stop.
