Got a call on my mobile, which felt a bit dodgy since before they only rang the landline, and that’s pretty uncommon. Looks like it’s from the same bunch of phone numbers that have been pestering me this week - all of which I’ve blocked now. Someone else mentioned they called at 4 in the morning, and honestly, no proper business would ring a customer at that hour. So, this number? Straight to my blocked list as well. Wonder how long this nonsense will keep up.

This number, or one very close to it from Nottingham, has called me twice now. Obviously, I didn’t answer, and even if I'd thought about it, the call didn’t last long enough to bother. I’m definitely not calling them back. If it really was E.ON, they'd ring from a proper, official number surely? And if they’re after cash, well, I don’t get paid until Friday, so they’ll just have to wait - I’m not conjuring money out of nowhere.

I’ve seen on another website that quite a few folks are suggesting this number belongs to a firm posing as Eon. This has rung through to me for the second time now, and honestly, if it was genuinely Eon, I would expect them to contact me from an official number, wouldn’t you? If it is Eon actually after my payment, they’ll just have to hang tight until Friday, as that’s when my wages come in!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Eon Next, saying I owed money. The funny thing is, I’d looked at my account just the day before and actually had credit. What made me really doubt them was when they insisted they only provided my electricity and mentioned a smart meter being installed - neither of which is true for me.

Got a call from 01157180950, supposedly EON or EON Next, but it’s odd cause their customer service hours are pretty short - Monday to Thursday till 5pm and only till 4pm on Friday. Seems a bit rubbish not having later hours for folks who can only call after work. I’m sceptical if this was legit tbh. I usually just let calls go to voicemail now, if it’s important they’ll ring back. Mind you, scammers do that as well, so no guarantees.

Got a call from an unknown number super early like at 4 in the morning, which was quite annoying.

I received a call from this number at half past five this morning, but when I answered, there was complete silence. I tried calling back, and yet again, it went dead. When I later checked my bank account, I was shocked to find a £690 overdraft on my statement, but I don’t even have any overdraft arrangement! I'm absolutely livid about this situation.

Received a call at an ungodly hour of 4:37 in the morning, and when I picked up, they just disconnected. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour!

So my phone rang and as soon as I picked up, the line went dead. I reckon this happens ’cause they’re ringing loads of numbers at once, and once someone answers, the others just get cut off. I never bother calling back, ’cause sometimes that’s the trick - getting you to ring a premium rate number. Not sure what their game was this time, but cheers anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.

I did talk to E-ON after they rang me, and even though they were the ones calling, they made me go through security checks. I gave the info they asked for but didn’t share anything else. After that, the lady sent me emails with my actual bills attached, and what’s more, the email came from an official E-ON address. So, yeah, I reckon it was totally legit and safe.

I just got a call from a number really similar to one I had before but ended in 49 instead. They said they were from EON, talking about a bill I supposedly hadn’t paid yet. It’s actually true that I’m behind on my EON payment, so it made me pause. But something about the caller felt sketchy, sounded like a South African accent this time. They said they’d call me back in a couple days. Feels dodgy to me.

i've neve managed to talk to a person on the other end, it's clear it's some kind of automated call. the phone rings twice and then hangs up. on the few times i picked up, all i got was a brief burst of music before the call ended. it all began with nonstop calls from 0115 7180952 but now they're coming from 0115 7180950. these calls are showing up stupidly early, like 2:15am, and sometimes really late at 10:35pm. no legit company would ring at such odd hours!!

I just had an experience with what I thought was EON, but it turns out it wasn't the genuine number at all. It was a complete charlatan masquerading as one of their staff members. They tried to get me to respond to some so-called security questions. Quite the con, I must say!

I got a weird text the day before from some random number, so I decided to check it out. Both the message and a later phone call said they were from eonnext, but it didn’t feel right. The person on the phone sounded like they were at a call centre and said her name was Silosh. When I asked where she found my number, she just hung up on me.

I think this number’s probably a landline based in Stoke-on-Trent. I couldn’t spot any reviews or ratings about it on other websites, which I guess might mean it’s okay. Has anyone else had any dealings with this number? I tried entering it in a few different ways but didn’t get any results. Seems like others are curious about it too, judging by the number of pages mentioning it. Does anyone know who calls from this number?
