So this number 441182180140 rang me claiming they were with O2. When I asked where they got my number, they got really huffy. I told them if they needed to reach me, to send an email instead of calling. I ended the call and blocked them straight away. Predictably, no email ever turned up. Total scam alert.

Got a few calls from 01157180949, rang three times but I didn’t pick up. Not a single voicemail either, which is odd. If they’re really tryin to get hold of me, why not just leave a message? I got a call supposedly from EON saying I owed money. They asked for my email and date of birth for ‘security reasons’. I told them since they called me out of the blue, I wasn’t giving out any personal details. I told them off and hung up. Checked online and found loads of people had the same dodgy call from EON. Someone should report this to the phone company and get them to stop these calls.

They addressed me by my first name and even referenced my property address, which was quite alarming. My phone was flashing a warning about potential fraud, so I was very cautious and didn’t divulge any personal details. They attempted to get me to verify my identity but I declined, reminding them that they were the ones who had reached out to me. They seemed keen to discuss some outstanding payment issue, but I insisted their warning was enough to put me off. As I told them that, they mentioned they had my email on file and would follow up that way, yet here I am, fifteen minutes later, and there’s still nothing in my inbox. They suggested that I call their customer services, but I firmly said no.

Got a call from this number and the person had a South African accent, like it’s happened before. Usually, the calls come from either South Asian or South African voices. I never give out any info to cold callers, especially if they sound from those regions. It's not about race, just being practical. The companies hiring these callers seem to pick the cheapest English-speaking folks, which usually means Indians and South Africans.

I received numerous calls from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from EON. She was on about the unpaid bills for the previous couple of months and was quite adamant in her demands. Her persistence was quite alarming, as she continued to ring me up and made veiled threats regarding the situation.
