A woman got on the phone claiming she’s with EON Next and asked whether I’d paid my bills recently. Sharing stuff like that can really help scammers get hold of your personal details. If it’s a landline number, the police should be able to track it down fairly easily and figure out what’s really happening at the other end.

Got a call at half past two in the morning, really not happy about that.

Got a call on the 6th of June 2022 from someone saying they were with EON. They started off by saying they needed to do a security check and then asked for my name. I told them that since they’d already called me, they ought to know my name anyway. After that, she just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming it was about a financial trading course. I had zero interest, told them they’d reached the wrong person, and then blocked the number straight away.

i keep getting calls from some call centre chasing eon energy bills or something. the ladies sound like they might be from south africa or somewhere similar. i never give out personal info to strangers on the phone, so the chats have been pretty short. honestly, if eon’s website actually functioned properly, all this mess would have been cleared up back in early march instead of dragging on till now.
