Total scam! It's fairly obvious, really. You get this pre-recorded message about some dodgy activity – then they prompt you to hit 1. How on earth would they even know who picks up the call? It’s all a bit nonsensical, if you ask me.

They purport to represent EON and requested confirmation of my address, to which I answered that there wasn’t much to discuss since my account is all settled. She promptly ended the call.

I received calls from +441157180952 and +441159673617 claiming to be EON, insisting I click on a link to settle my bill. When I mentioned I’d already made a payment via Standing Order using a physical bill, they switched tactics and suggested I should establish a direct debit through their link. I certainly didn’t entertain that idea!

I told her it wasn't happening. I wasn't about to share any of my private details, so she stopped calling once I refused to answer her security queries! Unbelievable!

Received a call from someone masquerading as Eon. When I asked them to shoot me an email for verification—something they typically do without any fuss—the woman on the line sighed and requested that I 'confirm my email' first. Quite puzzling, I must say! I pointed out the absurdity of that, and then, poof—she hung up! Just a heads up for everyone! 👍🏻

What a dodgy call! They pretended to be from Eon Next and insisted I settle an unpaid bill. The bloke on the other end had a heavy accent and the line was utterly dreadful.

I received a call from a chap claiming to be from EON Next, attempting to discuss my account with them. I informed him that he had the wrong number, as I don’t have any dealings with that company, and promptly hung up. It clearly seemed like a scam to me; he didn’t even bother to mention my name, indicating it was just another cold call.

Received a call on my phone today. I've got this handy application that alerts me if a number isn’t saved in my contacts and turns out it flagged this one as 'Potential Spam - debt collector'. I wasn’t sure if it was legit, so I decided to ignore it. Did a bit of digging on several websites, but couldn't find this number listed anywhere else; it's only referenced here. I've received numerous calls at odd hours, such as 1 AM and then again at 5 AM. It’s quite unsettling, to say the least!

What an absolutely unsettling experience this turned out to be! Some chap rang my mum, claiming to be a debt collector, and insisted she urge me to clear my supposed debts post haste. The trouble is, I've never owed anyone a penny! My poor mum nearly forked out her own hard-earned cash because he was so persuasive. Fortunately, I returned home just in time from basketball practice and managed to persuade her that it was nothing more than a dodgy scam. What a relief we dodged that bullet!

I received a call purportedly from Eon Next regarding an outstanding balance on a property I vacated over a decade ago. I’m fairly certain we had already squared things away, or perhaps even received a refund, based on the last meter reading at the time. To be honest, I can’t even recall if Eon was the provider we used back then! Quite baffling, isn’t it?

I’ve received yet another barrage of calls from Lantern Debt Collection, and surprise, surprise—it’s a different number this time! I can’t seem to escape their relentless pursuit, as they bombard me with at least ten calls daily, all from various digits.

I had a rather perplexing phone call on my mobile recently, where the caller inquired whether I had life insurance. When I probed about how they obtained my number and the purpose of their call, they appeared quite affronted. I'm not certain who these people are, but I've promptly blocked the number to prevent any further communication.
