This has got to be some sort of scam, we started getting charged loads for texting "stop" from my daughter's phone. Every time we tried to cancel it said there was an error but the charges kept coming. In the end, she got billed for more than 25 messages, proper frustrating!

I called 02’s customer support because I kept getting unwanted texts. They told me they’d blocked all future messages, but they just didn’t stop. Then I went to the 02 store and they said I’d need to reach out to whoever's sending the texts - but I haven’t got a clue who it is. The woman there added another block, but I’m not holding my breath for it to work. At this rate, I might have to get a new number. Switched from Vodafone to O2 recently and honestly, it’s been a nightmare. I keep getting random texts from strangers, including this number, and I’m being charged for them! When I rang O2, they promised to block these messages but they never did. They also said they'd refund the extra charges, but nada. I’m seriously thinking of contacting Ofcom about this. Stay well clear of O2 if you can. I’m also planning on reaching out to the ICO because I want to know how my info is getting shared - this only started after joining O2. Proper rubbish service. I saw this number doing a survey on Facebook and they asked for your phone number. Just a heads up, don’t reply with ‘stopl’ or anything like that. It looks like they’re testing if your number works so they can send spam from other numbers later. I’m not sure what you’re meant to do if they start texting, but defo don’t text ‘stopll’!

I've had at least eight different short codes messagin me over the past few days. Whatever u do, dont reply with stop or anything like that - it just lets them know the number's active, and then they'll sell it on to more spam folks. If u got an Android, slap 'em on your blocklist quick. Also, give your phone company a shout n tell them you never signed up for these texts. Ask if they can block premium short codes on your line so you dont get charged for this rubbish. Hopefully that tip helps someone out!
