Absolutely a con... Stay vigilant against calls that kick off with intimidation!

For the last couple of months, I've been inundated with phone calls that are quite unsettling. They've left some rather menacing messages on my voicemail. So far, I haven't had the opportunity to chat with them, but when I do, I intend to give them a taste of their own medicine. They've made threats, claiming they'll freeze my bank account and slap a lien on my property. The calls seem to originate from various numbers, which is quite tiresome, to say the least. It's essential to alert your elderly parents about this sort of thing; they must stay vigilant!

I received a rather alarming call today claiming that they were going to put a freeze on all my financial assets and bank account. The odd thing is, when I attempted to return the call, it seems my line has decided I'm not permitted to make that call. Quite concerning, if you ask me!

I recently got a rather alarming call from this number, leaving a voicemail implying that there are some serious issues linked to my name. They claimed that if I didn’t respond within a day, they’d place a lien on my assets. Naturally, this put me on edge, so I decided to return the call. I ended up chatting with a chap named David (didn't catch his surname) who mentioned his employee number was 841836. He went on about some fraudulent activity concerning my taxes from between 2009 and 2014, citing a sum of £4,523.00 and asking for my solicitor's details, as apparently they were gearing up to have me arrested. I queried him on which year this was regarding, and after some repetition from his end, I told him his story didn’t add up and then he abruptly hung up on me. It’s shocking how these individuals operate under the guise of the tax office. They’re the real con artists! Do yourself a favour and steer clear of their trickery!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the tax office, but it was clearly a scam. They tried to intimidate me and turned quite aggressive when I pressed them for more details. Complete nonsense!

Received a call purporting to be from the tax office claiming they would implement further measures, including freezing my accounts and seizing funds directly from my wages. However, I assure you, I have no outstanding debts with the tax authorities.

The audio was quite muffled, so I couldn’t quite discern if it was aimed at me or my husband. Rather perplexing, to say the least!

I received a call today from someone claiming to be with Revenue Canada. They left a rather alarming voicemail, stating that I supposedly owe them over £8400, and that they would file a lien against my house if I didn't settle it immediately. They attempted to pressure me into giving them my credit card details for a £5000 payment, which I outright refused. When I contested their claims, they threatened to involve the police, and then I got a return call from a woman posing as a police detective. She asserted that Revenue Canada wanted her to access my file and ominously warned that I could face jail time. It felt highly dubious and very concerning!
