Heard from someone claiming they’re with Canada Revenue and threatening a lawsuit - total rubbish! Honestly, you’d have to be dafter than them to actually believe that kind of obvious con.

Totally a scam, mate. I got this automated call claiming to be from the tax office. Dodgy as anything!

For the past few weeks I've been getting calls from this number. When I tried ringing back, it just kept dropping. Today someone finally picked up, claiming to be from the Revenue Canada and talking about some fake tax returns. I asked a few questions, but they just ended the call. I tried again, and this time the voice was really muffled, said they’d dialled the wrong number and promised no more calls. Not sure if I believe that though, time will tell.

This number has been ringing me a few times now, and every single time I just hang up before the bloke can finish with his threats. At first it was a woman calling. I finally blocked the number today, so let’s see if that stops it. Funny enough, the police actually put out a warning about this kind of scam just today.

Got a call claiming there was a warrant out for us from the Canada Revenue Agency and to ring a certain number to sort it out. Total scam, no doubt about it!!

I kept getting calls from this number, they said they were from the tax office or something and told me to call them back. I checked with my accountant and he told me not to answer or ring back as the real tax office wouldn’t call like that. It’s really irritating to keep getting these calls though. Do you think I should report it to the police?
