I just had a rather dubious phone call from the number 844-212-0179. The individual on the line asserted they were representing Century Link and had the last four digits of my social security number, requesting me to verify the entire number. Naturally, I was quite uneasy about sharing such information, particularly since I don’t even hold an account with Century Link. As soon as I expressed my reluctance, they abruptly ended the call. Clearly, it was a scam!
