Got a ring from this number claiming my computer was being hacked from California and that they worked for some monitoring firm. They asked to take control of my PC but I told them to call back later. I then phoned the company I have a tech support plan with, and they said they hadn’t called me and don’t do anything like that. They also warned me never to share personal details or let strangers access my machine. Be careful out there!

I've had a bunch of calls from people claiming there were hackers messing with my internet and wanting to fix it by getting into my PC. They kept saying they were with Win-Zip, but when I tried to ring the official Win-Zip support, it was some completely different number and the bloke answering kept shouting "Don’t close that, don’t close that!" It all felt really fishy when he asked me to find 'Log Me In' on Google and gave him control of my computer.
