On Tuesday, the 15th of March 2013, at around 12:18 in the afternoon, I got a rather unwelcome call from this number. The person on the other end had the audacity to say something absurd like they wanted to mess around with my wife. Quite astonishing, really!

I received a call from this number at approximately 1 PM today. I picked up the phone, yet there was complete silence on the other end. I tried again, saying, "Hello?" and a chap with a strong accent responded, "How's it going?". I didn’t stick around for any more of that and just hung up. I've got no patience for these sorts! Reading through other folks' experiences confirms I made the right choice, especially since some mentioned they were fishing for credit card details.

I received a dodgy call on the 3rd of November, 2016, right around half past eleven in the morning. The bloke on the line had a thick accent and claimed he was calling about my MasterCard. I informed him that I've never had a MasterCard. He then pivoted and insisted it was concerning my Visa instead! I quickly realised it was a con and told him to shove off. He promptly slammed the receiver down.

Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call touting a lifetime of low-interest rates for my Visa card, which, mind you, I don’t possess. When I expressed my disbelief and informed the caller of my non-existent card, he remarked, "Allow me a moment to verify in our records." Just like that, the line went dead. Quite the entertaining encounter, I must say!

I picked up the phone and stood silent for a moment, only for this chap to chime in with, "Hello, how's everything?" Assuming it was a mate, I replied, "Not too bad," and then he hit me with, "I'm ringing about your visa cards." That was my cue to leave the conversation, so I interjected, "Cheers for nothing," and promptly ended the call. It's infuriating how they wield that 'nice guy' façade to catch folks unawares and fish for sensitive banking details. Sadly, I reckon many will fall for it! The number is officially "BLOCKED" now. His command of English was quite impressive, so just a heads-up for those who are easily led astray, particularly our older folks! (Typically, these lowlife scoundrels exhibit an Asian accent.)
