On Tuesday 15th March 2013 at just after midday, I got a call from this number. When I asked what they wanted, the person immediately said they wanted to mess with my wife, which was pretty shocking.

Around 1 in the afternoon, this number rang me up. When I picked up, there was nothing but silence. I said, "Hello?" and then a guy with a strong accent said, "How's it going?". I ended the call straight away. I’m not into wasting time with calls like that. Looking at other reviews, I’m glad I cut it off early, especially with them asking for credit card details and all.

Got a call on the 11th of March 2016 around 11:30 in the morning from someone with a really thick accent. They claimed it was about my MasterCard, but I told them I don’t have one. Then they switched it up and said it was about my Visa instead. I told them straight up I knew it was a scam and told them to shove off. They just hung up after that.

Today, someone rang me up saying they could give me a really low interest rate for life on my Visa card - problem is, I don’t even have a Visa! When I told them that, they said they’d "have a quick look in their system." Then, just like that, they ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.

So I picked up the phone and after a few moments, this bloke says, “Hey, how’ve you been?” I thought it might be someone I knew, so I answered, “Alright.” Then he started talking about my visa cards, but I cut him off straightaway and told him to jog on before hanging up.
He was trying the whole “friendly guy” routine to catch people off guard and probably get them to spill banking details... sadly, it might work on some poor souls! I’ve blocked the number now. His English sounded pretty spot on though, so be careful if you’re trusting, especially older folks!
(Usually these dodgy scammers have a noticeable Asian accent, but this one didn't.)
