4 yearsI got a call from this number claiming to be Ovation Tax Group. They mentioned they help people settle their IRS tax debts and started asking for all sorts of personal details right away. Before I realised, I’d already given them loads of info. When I said I wanted to do some checking first and wait until the next day, they started pushing hard, saying I had to sign a contract and put down a “Good faith” payment of £1000 to proceed with the IRS. I looked up the numbers they called from - this one actually showed up as a computer repair firm, and the two other numbers gave me nothing at all.
