Received a barrage of messages on my mobile over the last few months. Whenever I’ve managed to pick up, they’ve been adamant about obtaining my date of birth and national insurance number, which I flatly declined. When I pressed them for the reason behind their calls, they sidestepped the query and simply cut the line. Today, they left yet another voicemail, prompting me to ring them back. As soon as I did, someone picked up almost instantly, declaring themselves a debt collection agency, and once more insisted on my personal details-information I steadfastly refused to provide. I informed them quite clearly that I have no outstanding debts, and, not surprisingly, the line went dead again.

I received a rather dubious phone call from some individuals claiming that we had an outstanding debt to a medical practitioner, and they identified themselves as debt collectors. However, they were rather evasive and wouldn’t disclose the name of the doctor involved. I’m left wondering if this debt actually exists. I'm quite anxious about my credit rating taking a hit. Are these folks for real? When I attempted to return their call, I was met with an automated system that asked a series of rather intrusive questions, only to ultimately inform me that I might have won a holiday or the like (perhaps a timeshare?). It all seems quite fishy to me!

Claims to be a debt collector yet shared no additional details. Left a message urging me not to erase it. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number today, and a rather impolite woman was trying to pry personal information out of me. It was quite uncomfortable! I'm definitely going to inform my state’s Attorney General about these dubious characters. I believe they ought to face consequences for their soliciting ways.
