Got a call on my home phone and then my mobile. Bit unsettling really.

I suspect this is a telemarketing operation, as I could distinctly hear the clatter of a call centre in the background, rather reminiscent of a bustling marketplace in India.

Received a call from this number earlier today, but I chose not to pick up.

I received a couple of calls from the number +1234 claiming to be from the United States, one yesterday morning and another today. I chose not to pick up as it seemed rather unusual.

Got a call on my landline from 1234. Out of curiosity, I picked up. Heard a robotic voice mumbling something about BT, then the talking clock came on. I just hung up after that.

Honestly, it feels a bit weird.

It was (not a real human voice) saying something like "time from BT will be" followed by the current time.

01234 064137 keeps calling me loads on my phone, really annoying. If you dont pick up quick enough it just goes dead, sounds like its some automatic machine. Pretty sure it’s a scam or something dodgy.

On my O2 bill, there was a charge for a call to a number with like ten zeros followed by 1234. They charged me 21p for it. I swear I never rang this number before!

Hello there, I'm situated in India. I keep getting these mysterious calls from the number 1234, and it’s happened about four times around 1:45 in the morning. I decided to ignore the calls each time as I found the number rather unusual.

I received a call from a number listed as 000-000-1234, which left an automated message asking me to contact 1-877-455-5001. When I called back, I was greeted by someone claiming to represent Hirsch and Camp LLC, a legal investigative firm, stating they were trying to prevent a warrant against the person associated with the number. I told them they had the wrong number and that they should cease calling. They then asked who I was, and I mentioned that I was the person planning to report them to the Federal Communications Commission. Their response was rather amusing; they said, "That's fine, I'll have my lawyers handle that." I couldn't help but wonder, if they're a legal investigative company, why would they even need an attorney?

We received a message from an unfamiliar mobile number directing us to visit AT&T via their mobile network.

The number 000-1234 was the sole info that came through on our landline’s Caller ID. They asked to speak to our dad, but mum informed them they’d got the wrong number. They then went on to probe about our address! Mum didn’t provide any details, but it seemed like they were onto something because they got our right address eventually. It was quite unsettling, I tell you! Thankfully, mum acted all oblivious and hung up before things got too dodgy. Quite alarming, really!

Today alone, we've had three calls from 000-000-1234, and honestly, they've been at it for weeks. It all kicks off around nine in the morning, and they haven’t spared the weekends either. It's beyond irritating! We've decided not to pick up anymore. Seriously, what kind of numpty believes that anyone would be eager to respond to a call when it’s clearly a nuisance? Major warning signs here!

The individual who rang left an utterly irritating message concerning some of our relatives who have unfortunately passed away.

I received a rather peculiar call from this number, SKYPE/000-000-1234. The caller had the audacity to suggest that we could reach our aspirations and transform into a ‘stud’, all while implying that we ought to ditch our lethargic ways and stop waddling about like a hefty balloon. Honestly, I’m no stranger to feeling a bit heavy myself, but I hardly needed a reminder! They practically insisted that we consider their ‘E Di3ts’ programme to shed the pounds. Quite frankly, I felt rather insulted; what a nasty little conversation that was!

Indeed, it appears that someone was attempting to reach you via SkypeOut.

Chances are, it’s a call coming in via Skype.
