Got a call from 01232 697820 claiming to be DHL, but that number definitely isn’t theirs. When I rang back, the voicemail didn’t even mention DHL at all. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from 01232 804 575 from someone claiming to be Peter, talking about a debt or payment owed to Sky - couldn’t quite catch the details. I asked nicely a few times where they got my number, but all they said was “it’s Sky”. I explained that I’ve never dealt with Sky before, hadn’t given this number to any broadband provider, and that I’m on the TPS. Despite that, the caller kept going, so I told him I knew it wasn’t genuine and that I’d be hanging up. Not to jump to conclusions, but the accent definitely didn’t match what I’d expect from someone called Peter.

My phone was charging and not with me when I got a call. I looked up the number's area code online and saw some warnings. Later, I checked my iPhone's missed calls, tapped the "i" button next to the number, then found the option to "block this caller" and used it.

I’ve got BT callminder set up and it blocks these calls no bother. Seems like either it's a bot that can’t handle this or those pesky nuisances don’t dare say who they really are because they'd have to identify themselves. The number does get logged though, but luckily my phone never actually rings. Bliss!

This number’s been ringing me loads recently. I found the best trick is to just use an answerphone and only pick up if I recognize the voice, let the rest just go through. It’s a good way to waste their minutes and not bother me.

I've been getting loads of calls nearly every day from Consumer Benefits, using different numbers all the time - some landline, some mobiles. The callers always have Asian accents and try to get you involved in some survey. Once you say yes, the phone never stops ringing with calls from loads of other firms. I've told them to quit it so many times but they just won't leave me alone. Absolute rubbish!
