Received a call from this number earlier today. It’s undoubtedly the fraud team from Lloyds Banking Group. Just the night prior, I attempted an online purchase using my TSB debit card, but I completely botched the transaction and my card got declined. The following day, I got a call from TSB's fraud department to verify whether it was genuinely me trying to use the card. So, rest assured, this number isn’t suspicious at all. Just to add to what I said yesterday, I popped into my nearby TSB branch and they told me that this number is actually one of the official ones for their fraud team. They’d put a hold on my card because the online payment I was making was quite a bit bigger than what I usually spend, so it seemed suspicious to them. I’d say if anyone gets a call from this number, best to double check with your local TSB first before doing anything. Luckily, they’ve sorted it all and my card’s active again now.

I reckon this phone number is from TSB. It’s one of those automated systems they’ve got that rings you if you leave your card info hanging on a website for ages without clicking the buy or send button. Seems like the computer figures someone’s faffing about trying to guess your card details and gives you a buzz to nudge you along.
