I got this letter warning about fraud from ‘Natwest’ which honestly feels dodgy to me. The phone number on it looks nearly identical to the real fraud helpline, but after checking around online and on the proper Natwest website, I couldn’t find that number anywhere - makes it seem pretty fake. Also, no holds or freezes on my card at all, which Natwest normally do straight away if there’s any suspicious usage. Trust me, don’t call the number they gave you. Instead, head to Natwest’s official website and find their genuine fraud contact info if you want to be sure. Or better yet, take the letter into a branch in person and ask them if they actually sent it. It’s better to be safe than sorry with these clever scams about.
