I received a recorded message urging me to ring back immediately. Just to clarify, this wasn't some dodgy scam. The number actually belongs to the Natwest Fraud Centre. We double-checked by ringing the standard Natwest contact number, and they confirmed that it was indeed legitimate. Turns out, our card details were being misused in a transaction taking place in Morocco. It seems likely that our information was compromised through a dubious cash machine. Thankfully, the bank has cancelled our card and is in the process of issuing a replacement.
